I love journaling. It’s always been my go-to self healing tool. Sometimes just to release is enough. The lessons & realisations will come later. Also, your hair is doing the things. You look amazing!

This is so helpful. I don’t want to have a detailed journal of my life. I don’t do anything very interesting, but I do want to keep track of my mental state for myself and my psych doctor. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!

I find it so hard sometimes to talk about how I'm feeling, because it depends on the subject that I'm focusing on. Like, I can talk about it and write it down, but it's like I feel so many ways at one time just in different parts of my life.

What if you were to journal out those different parts of your life? Have you seen the Wheel Of Life exercise? You can google it, I also do a workshop in the SarahBethYoga APP each year discussing it. The :) :/ :( is more like how you felt as a total sum in your day so you can look back and keep track of your mood in general. But definitely dive deeper!

@@Ida-Adriana Yes! I have a black belt friend who has done much of his study alone at home. He has both physical and financial challenges and has trained with his home-made, well made dummies. He also does tremendous mental training and mental repetitions of the techniques. You can train if you want! I should make it clear that in a self-defense situation this guy could very easily finish someone. Amazing skill!

I keep a secret diary on the left pages written in invisible ink and in normal pen on the right side I write about things I like. I also sketch on the left. Someone told me they incurrage it in rehab so I tried it and it is helpful

For my journal I don’t write “Dear diary” I put the date and the number of journal like if I have journaled for the 10th time or something and after those I write about my day I sometimes would add this the mood, any triggers and accomplishments

Why can't you say Dear Diary? I think most people kind of know on some level that when we make a diary entry, we feel we are talking to someone. Could be your future self, a dead relative. Teenaged girls from years ago considered their diaries to be trusted friends.
