I'm so grateful to you, Joe... I rejected juicing after reading many negative things about it by raw food enthusiasts who support blending instead; the light finally came on after watching your film several times - blending was filling me up too fast because of all the fiber, therefore I wasn't getting enough nutrients and I didn't lose weight, despite great effort... I ordered my Breville tonight and I'm super excited, thank you!!!

A friend took me down to a Williams - Sonoma right after Christmas to let me pick out a juicer for my Christmas present. I loved this Breville 5 speed juicer, 1200 watts. Williams - Sonoma has military discounts so I got 10% off of this juicer ($59.99 to be exact). The store was out of these except the display model but they oredered one for me (never taken out of the box) and it arrived at my door in just 3 days. I had a Juiceman Juicer years ago but there were just too many negative things about that juicer. The 5 speed Breville juicer in this video has wonderful reviews and I can't wait to try it out (which will hopefully be tomorrow). Breville sells their brand of plastic bags that go in the pulp container for quick clean up, but I heard that the plastic produce bags at the grocery store work just as well (and are basically free) so that's what I'm planning on using. 😊

I enjoy you & love your idea of juicing vegetables! I've only made fruit & fruit juice smoothies, never thought of using vegetables! Eat almost every vegetable cooked, but love carrots raw, sweet potatoes too, cut I'm small pieces, put in plastic bags to have anytime I feel like snacking. Over the years, I've developed some painful medical problems. Osteoarthritis, allergies to almost every thing that has a root & grows where I bought my last home! Thank God I'm not allergic to growing my own tomatoes, sweet peppers, potatoes, onions in my backyard! Have grown peanuts, potatoes, onions in hanging baskets, was fun for lots years. Hope you can give me some advice on romance scammers when you have the time. I feel like I know you as a friend 😜 Fondly, Sara Johnson

Pete, it doesn't really matter how many calories are in this. When you're juicing fruits and vegetables it is pure, live nutrition and very quickly turned into energy. You can't gain weight eating fruits and vegetables. It is when you juice and then continue to eat fast food or lots of meat and dairy, that you won't see the health benefits that you would expect.
@MzBabsie12 жыл бұрын

Some make crackers with the pulp. Some put it into meat loaf. Some put into cupcakes. Can have some in bread, especially the quick breads. See the KrazyKrackerlady on you tube and her cracker and bread recipes. Can also use it for compost so it is returned to the plants in your garden.

@fitzmagic the pineapple, if it was a whole it had approximately 350-400 calories plus 150 in the pears and about 200-250 in the strawberries and about 30-40 in the leaves. so here we are talking about 750-900 calories juice, but dont get biased. the calories from fruits and vegetables are very easy `burn out because their calories dont carry as much energy as calories from fat

What’s the name of the huicer
@petestackow11 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your reply. I would disagree though because if you don't juice property and use mostly fruit, you'll still have an adverse effect. Sugar if not used will revert back to starch, starch is a carbohydrate, and when not burned for energy becomes stores as fat. Fat is not necessarily in the fruit but your body will convert it... I bring it up bc for the first week I only wanted to juice fruit (bc it tastes awesome) and wouldn't lose anything...
@eddiemelikian24406 жыл бұрын
I'm curious as to what enzymes/vitamins are "cooked out" by pasteurization? I should add that if your fruit/vegetables are in any way contaminated with bacteria that juicing will give you a concentrated dose of bacteria. Not trying to rain on the juice parade here, just trying to get to the "cooked out enzyme" statement.

I'm trying to get healthy AND lose weight, it's not just about the weight, but obviously I want to lose weight too. I'm about 50lbs overweight. So am I supposed to juice fruit or NOT???? ugh so confusing and frustrating.
@flyingsolo8910 жыл бұрын
do not juice fruit you will not lose weight because fruit has sugar. most weight loss diets say to not consume fruit because it contains sugar which blocks the process of losing weight. Use veggies in your diet.
@MrNordicnicklas10 жыл бұрын
flyingsolo89 nonsens.
@flyingsolo8910 жыл бұрын
NordicNicklas Denmark how does it not make sense?
@MrNordicnicklas10 жыл бұрын
flyingsolo89 Because there is a deference between White sugar and the sugar in fruits and vegetables, and how it is digested in the body. You can’t say that because white sugar in general makes a person gain weight that when you eat fruits the same will happened. And if she is doing a juice fast she will need all the nutrients from all different kinds’ greens or ells she will (in a way) starve herself, + she said that she wanted to be healthy and that includes eating lodes of fruits and vegetables.
@flyingsolo8910 жыл бұрын
NordicNicklas Denmark i understand the differneces but the similarites are that sugar stunts the loss of weight

In another video, Joe mentions the importance of eating fiber while juicing. We use a nutribullet which includes all the fiber from veggies and fruit and pulverizes it into a drinkable liquid.Juicers like the one he uses discard all the fiber. I would highly recommend uisng the nutribullet.

Enter this Hamilton Beach juicer. wow. Wow. And WOW! It is so easy to use. The mouth tube is so big! And cleaning is so fast! I just took the bin of pulp out to the compost and rinsed it out in my sink outside then brought it in and hand washed everything. Thanks for including the brush to clean the strainer. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
