where is the regular strapless jump video? Should I learn to jump with straps first? (I learned on a directional board, haven't used a twin tip, and only used straps for a short bit on directional board.) Thanks for all the great videos.

Hey Luke, is there any secret to landing a SB so you reduce the risk of board damage? Great tutorial. Thanks.

Thanks, helpful... My question is: I ride a Soul 15 with Mitu board. I can reach highs of 10-15m with twintips, but only a few ones with strapless. How can I do to get higher, without having my kite backwards and stuck in the edge of the window? Thanks
@FlukesKitesurfing3 жыл бұрын
Hey SKDV, yeah a great question for when you want to go high. When doing a "sent Jump" strapless you have to do a couple of different things. The main focus is what hand you will have on the bar and when. An example of this would be doing a rodeo. Doing a rodeo would allow you to send the kite back as you describe, then put the board between your legs, Put both hands on the bar, then steer the kite forward, then take the board out from your legs with your front hand, and then backloop landing as explained in the video. This will allow you to do sent jumps. Another option is to throw a backroll where you reach down with your back hand to grab the board. this again will let you drive the kite back forward with your front hand while flying. To land this though, i find i have to do a complete kite loop using my front hand and land toe-side with the kite back at 12. Its a little more complex but forms the basis of a lot of the big jumps we see on tour. I'll try and get some videos made for them but i hope that gives you something to work toward :)

I’ve been trying this but every time I loop the kite It shoots me off my board sideways 😢
@FlukesKitesurfing4 ай бұрын
Hey, great to hear you're going for it! If you are getting pulled to hard, try looping just slightly later. By delaying the loop it will reduce the power of the loop
