@@JohnyIIOh Ha! What a coincidence. Yes I am. I went all evening last night and was practicing jumping, but I busted up my knee pretty good pushing myself after I got tired. I skate all over lower manhattan most days. It really is my new hobby.

Thank You for this video. Initially I thought: »It's just jumping, what is there to know?«, but it really helps to follow this approach and to remind myself that jumping actually IS difficult on skates and that it's not just me and my neurotic brain who thinks it's hard

Thank you for a helpful video. Was there any advice regarding the position of your feet when landing? Side by side or one foot slightly in front of the other?
@Thisissoul3 жыл бұрын
ah we did not mention that. good that you point it out. maybe slightly in front of each other. but in general they should be side by side when you land from a jump

If i jump with my shoes on i use my toes, how do you position your feet to jump in skates? I'm always afraid to roll or fall forward when i want to jump.

hi can you teach us how to jump backwards?? ♥️♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥
@d00w Жыл бұрын
What I learnt was never think of jumping in a direction. You always jump UP and let your initial speed carry you to the direction you want. This is different from jumping in your shoes where you have friction to jump up and forward/backward

Could you advise what is the ideal or minimum space in mm between a bare foot and the heel of hard shell skates ( without liner in it)? Thanks
@saiidinlineskater71323 жыл бұрын
Should be 1-2 finger widths, definitely no more than 3. At 3 you should really go down a shell size.
@gbj65816 ай бұрын
Whats a good size wheel for jumps. Not grinding. Just jumpes and air etc.
@Thisissoul6 ай бұрын
depends on the surface. If the ground is smooth then you want to be low to the ground. when the ground is rough then you might want bigger wheels to prevent stickups.

@@Thisissoul cool thanks. Yeah want to try skate parks. Maybe ill do a 60mm or 72mm as ive read those have good roll and are stable.

Video about jumping on inline skates, but doesn't really talk about the jumping part of it. Just the landing? The jumping is what I am actually struggling with. Where to apply the force (toes I assume?). Bend your knees, get down low - maybe. Use the arms to lift you up, but don't stay stiff? Also about getting ready to jump, and when to jump - if you want to get over an obstacle? And to commit. Jumping on skates doesn't seem easy to me.

@Thisissoul3 жыл бұрын
just start with the first step, or actually the last step ;) depending on how you look at it. 1. The thing you should practice is riding low first. this prepares you for the landing like described in the video
