Well said Steve! Parts are getting harder to get but the people that buy battery powered mowers dont even realize that they can not get any parts for most of those. Thanks for the video Steve! 👍🇺🇸

I’ve started buying non-running battery equipment and parting them out. It’s impossible to get parts for some of them so parting them out is more lucrative than trying to repair and sell them. I’ve started to see a lot of people who bought into battery equipment going back to gas now.

For many years I sharpened with a file and balanced on a hacksaw blade in a vice. Nowadays I use a flap disk and a nail. I’ll probably never get one of those great magnetic balancers, but only because there are many dozens of tools higher up on my tool list. 🔧🔧🔧👍

The flapper disk is a great option! Seems to keep the blade cool but still puts a nice sharp edge on the blades. The balancer was an impulse buy for me a few years ago. I don’t regret purchasing it at all. It works like a charm and it’s very easy to center the blade

Like that stand you're using and for years I used a file and occasionally I will still break it out. The picture of that Toro caught my eye that was my go to Mower for years only switched because the rear wheel drive mechanisms would drive me crazy when they failed!

I need to make a video just on my lift. It gets a lot of comments. It’s a manual pallet stacker like used in a small warehouse setting. It’s perfect for pretty much any small engine equipment. 😁👍

Great video thx for the info, just a note on the suction tube cut the end on an angle (45deg) that will eliminate the need to lift up on it

It's a whole lot easier keeping your blade angle with a file. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the blade angle should be around 30° to 35°.

When I was a kid I use to cut 10-12 neighbors yards with an old push mower. A file was all I ever used.

I done something yesterday that truly the mower and I hated. Hit the ground rod sticking up for a power pole. Blade looks like a banana 🍌. Hopefully I didn't hurt the engine. Seems to run OK but it's gut wrenching

@barrybaker9677 I’d remove the blade and spark plug then slowly pull the engine over while watching the shaft under the deck. If it’s strait see if it will start. If not you may have sheared a keyway on the flywheel. If it starts and shaft isn’t bent you should be able to replace the 🍌with a new blade and be good to go. 😁👍

Will do. I truly hope I didn't hurt the mower. I just got it last year. It only has probably 10 to 12 hours. Heart wrenching. First thing I'm gonna flag the ground rod so I don't do it again. Thank you for the tips. God Bless.
