Be very careful removing the oil filter cap rubber gaskets with a metal tool. I didn't notice I had made a tiny scratch getting it off and oil started seeping past it. And for this reason, if the car is older or bought used it is probably a good idea to replace this part.

no need to clean the map sensor every 6 months. if you decide to do this you are to let them dry for 20 minutes or so + use silicone grease on the o rings to keep the o rings from drying out + aid in install. Super Lube is good for this.
@rizkybusiness2 жыл бұрын
Don’t need to clean all the time definitely. But while it’s out, why not. Abit of engine oil will lube it just fine
@Sqwin_n202 жыл бұрын
@@rizkybusiness why would you go through the entire process of cleaning the MAP sensor only to contaminate it with oil again? That's where the Super Lube silicone lube comes in
@rizkybusiness2 жыл бұрын
@@Sqwin_n20 I mean you wouldn’t use dirty oil I think people would find that pretty obvious. Only put oil on your o ring or not put it at all, don’t put oil on your Sensor as that would break it.

Yes agree, timing chain is like luck of the draw, you could have an absolute dud of timing guide. I’m looking into replacing that soon. Did you have any noises before the timing chain went?

nice work, quick question. My 2016 N20 runs great and all but when I changed the oil recently i looked over the timing chain as i always do. I too a small flathead and checked the tightness of the chain. It has a slight bit of looseness to it. Not super loose but not tight either. Engine is cold. obviously when warm it does tighten up because of the oil pressure tigthening the tensioner. What do you know about a slightly loose chain on a cold N20?????
@rizkybusiness Жыл бұрын
There should be a little play on the timing chain( for when the engine heats up) The problem was never on the timing chain but more on the timing chain guide with this engine.you don’t need to worry as your car is 2016 they’ve fixed the guide.

have an 320i 2018 for about a year now, just did the second oil change, got a new battery because the stock one started dying. it's 54k miles what should i do to make it bulletproof? dont want any more HP, just straight reliability. thats the reason i got a 320i, less power more reliable im guessing.
@rizkybusiness11 ай бұрын
just keeping up with your maintenance and change the plastic charge pipe to the aftermarket metal ones. Being 2018 no issues with timing chain guides, so you got a pretty reliable daily driver tbh. Not necessarily more reliable having less power, compression ratio is higher on 320i so more stress on the engine than a 328i if you ever want to tune it.

Good Video but you should be using full synthetic oil and you forgot to tell people how many ft/lbs. to tighten the oil fill plug nut down to. Also, you should change the oil on BMW's every 7000 miles, never go by changing the oil every 10,000 miles.
@rizkybusiness Жыл бұрын
Thank you for the constructive feedback, but Castrol edge is fully synthetic, & on the tittle of the video every 6 months you should do service, if you do more than 7000km in 6 months then you should buy another car, not BMW & you’re very knowledgeable you should do your own video 😊
