I just saw drywood termites coming out of my bedroom wall today due to the 100 degree temps we are having. Before I saw this video, I drilled some holes and sprayed borax solution into the holes. I prefer your sprayer with the bent tip. The only thing that could prevent the borax solution going all the way down is the insulation in the walls. I'm not worried at all about mold because borax will not let it happen anyway. Great vid!

The chemical in termidor is fipronil, .06 percent mixed, and fipronil 9.8 percent in frontline applied to dogs. It will last year's in the ground, and a month or more in the wall.

Genius IDEA. Spraying the Termidor behind the walls, with a FOAM ..."SHOULD" kill the sub-terrarium Termites. PLUS,...i'm thinking if you Blast it into your attic, it should kill them there too? ----> *Tells us how it worked for you? Did you have to retreat the area more than Once?*

Im going to do this using Borax mix. ... My concern is insulation & crossbeams preventing it from good coverage. I think I will go across the top.then again staggerd lower down towards the floor about 10" from the floor. They use the big window for access,somehow but thats where they appear everytime ,somehow all along the window area.

1.) I may have to drill into my bedroom wall/ceiling, following your example in this video, to access the attic/overhang of roof. So, is that advisable? Is the chemical, Termidor SC, safe to use in the walls etc., of living spaces? 2.) Why the foam sprayer? Is a foam sprayer always necessary to use? 3.) Where did you buy the foam sprayer? What is its cost? 4.) Is any sort of breathing mask necessary? 5.) What was the dimension of the holes you drilled--3/16, 1/4? 6.) What did you refill the holes with, the holes you drilled into the walls, dowel and spackle or just spackle? Any info you can give will be greatly appreciated as I am not real handy or knowledgeable with tools; and I can't afford the pest control estimates. THANK YOU!

@@samlan4330 It seems like foam is used because only one hole needs to be drilled per space between studs. With sprayer, you would need to drill multiple holes going down the length of the wall to ensure good coverage of studs with boracare or similar solution.

Did you need to evacuate your house? Did you immediately cover or cap the holes to keep the poison in? (I know the Termidor label doesn't require it for interior wall treatments)

The foaming agent expands the toxin to fill the space. Yes, it is necessary if you want to make sure all the termites make contact with it. A small stream of toxin behind the wall can be evaded.

hello. do you think you could help, no one else has in the 15 years ive been trying to take care of my fathers home, learning ever soooooo slowly about all things i would normally never do....including termites. the house in in mexico, i travel 2 x a mo, my father built it on the beach, defying others recommendations to use block, he used allll wood. his last words before he passed were, "take care of the house daughter", and "tell em the G...D... house is still standing"!! but...barely. because the termites are and have been eating it for a very very long time! so it has taken me a very long time, years to be more accurate, to learn slowly about termites. there is no termite company here where the house is, no tenting, and not even any body in the are to do any sort of treatment, although i feel the big city closest does not, i do not trust they actually use good product let alone know what they are doing, sadly. i have "chased" termites around the past several years, as they have dropped on my head, swarmed inside, and left their little 'frass" droppings everywhere. i now use boracare on anything new, but that i didnt learn until just the last couple years. i have used termidor foam and jecta, but i know its probably doing very little. sooooooo let me give you a vision of the house. it is two story, set up on block foundation with a very very VERY small crawl space underneath. the outside of the house is covered in t/1/11 paneling and the inside of the house, over the framework is covered in pine shiplap paneling. the floor is parquet , the cabinets and door knobs and curtain rods are all pine . the house is completely wood! what would you do??? i know the trouble spots...because the frass always tells me. and in some spots it was really bad, beach side mostly. i believe, but dont know for sure, but believe there are probably several colonies in the house just from what i hear. if i cant tent, and there is so much wood and house...what can i do? what would you do? people tell me to tear down the house and start again. for many reason that is not an option!!!! please give me your advise. i have termidor sc...i actually trenched with it about 5 years ago when i first heard about it, but in retrospect i dont think i have subterranean , only drywood termites. what would you do? i dont have the foam or foam sprayer, ive seen them for sale tho. a little expensive for me but i would try to save up if you said that was the way. thank you for your time!

Termidor should kill everything when used correctly. You should locate where the termites are and apply it directly into the colony or in an area where they walk; the product requires the termites to come into contact with the termidor so they can share/spread it to the rest of the colony.

Where are you? I'm Michigan we put the chemical in the ground. You must be treating for dry wood termites. I have done pest control for over 45 years. And if anyone puts a water base chemical in the wall...think of fires and wires first. Tumblr and hora care would last a lot longer in a wall void.
