this was really good. I used to skate street for decades and now that I'm older I want to get more into vert. It was surprising how few tutorials are out there for this type of very important tips. This was the only one that really broke it down. I personally would love to see some reviews on the types of pads out there, I had some trouble finding those too and I have a sense you'd be a great resource to explain things nicely and fairly. Thanks for the amazing videos. Hope I get to see more vert/bowl videos when I visit your channel again, I'm hoping I can improve and have a nice coach like yourself teaching us the foundations.

The 187 Killer Knee Pads are amazing! I just recently found a pair at a local skate shop. They have a very thick memory foam inside and it wraps around your entire knee and even the sides some. The caps themselves slide really well and will last a long time and are replaceable. You barely feel anything when landing on them. They are also machine washable. Highly recommend 187 Killer Pads!
@idmhead01603 жыл бұрын
I did you find any good reviews of knee pads? I bought some Pro-Tec Street pads, but, they're too small, and after seeing them, I think I understand why they call them Street. I don't think they are good enough for vert. I'm probably only going to be skating small transition, but, still want to get some quality pads. The Pro-Tec Street ones look sketchy. I have some old Rector Protectors from the 80s and I like those better. Skate shops don't seem to carry Rector anymore. I don't know why. Maybe the new brands are just better. I wasn't at all impressed with the Pro-Tec Streets. The knee caps are flat and don't seem to protect the top part of your knee at all and look like they would slide down. I'm going to be sending those back and need to figure out what I should get.

Thanks so much for your kindness and support! I have a video coming soon that will teach many knee slides and should answer your questions. Once you commit to a rock to fakie you’re in it to win it so really lift those front wheels to clear from hanging up! 💙🛹💙
@bakedbeings3 жыл бұрын
I'm no JB but I have a trick I used to bail from and learn rock to fakie: as you go into the transition and are about to rock to fakie mentally commit to and position your body to roll in switch. In a lot of was a rock to fakie is really being able to drop in on a ramp switch stance with your back truck hung up. If you're thinking about rolling down switch instead of "how do unhang this truck oh shit i'm backwards" then you're just jumping off and running. Practise on little transitions at the park - start on top and ride over the coping switch stance, scraping your board as u go.

Thank you Jason, I really appreciate your kindness and support! We put everything into making these for you. More awesome videos coming soon and be sure to check out our other videos on the channel! I also made new playlists so you can learn from my lessons in order. Please help me “Like” and Share this channel with your friends online so I can keep making quality videos and help more people like yourself. I want all these videos to help the world so I posted them for free, but free won’t pay for more videos so I am also requesting donations to fund more videos and keep the channel alive. Venmo @JoshBalogh or PayPal Details in description box of each video if you choose to support. Have a great skate! 💙🛹💙
