How to Knit a Log Cabin Baby Blanket | EASY Step-by Step Tutorial

I make lots of log cabin afghans. I would suggest that you slip the first stitch of every row (purlwise). This then gives you a nice edge and it's easier for picking up the stitches for the next colour. I use a crochet hook to do so. This gives the squares a smoother edge and it's almost impossible to tell where the seam is.

Hi Sieneke, thank you for your feedback. I will try to do more close-ups on the tricky parts! When I picked up stitches, I went in between each of the garter ridges. 😀

Thank you so much, Annu! If you do all purl stitch on this blanket, it will look the same as all knit stitch. If you do one row of knit and one row of purl, it will give you stockinette stitch. Enjoy! 😀
