Hi Sheila. Just wondering if you used the size 10mm needles and super chunky yarn. I do better with inch/cm than with rows . Claudetta's finished size for an adult was 8inches I believe. LOL do you happen to remember the length for your 3 year old? Thanks, Jo

Yes! For the three row repeat you would have to knit all the stitches on the right side for the first row. The second row repeat would be purl all stitches. The last row would be the normal purl and knit, it doesn’t matter which side this is on.

@sonshineandsong
@sonshineandsong 3 жыл бұрын
It's best to do a test swatch and count how many stitches for 4".Then if your head is 20" for a hat you divide by 4 to get 5 then you multiply how many stitches you got in the 4" by 5 and that equals you're cast on. This works for any kind of yarn whether it's boke or thin.
@sonshineandsong
@sonshineandsong 3 жыл бұрын
Example.My head is 20",My count of stitches in 4" was Chan. So if I multiply 10 by 5 I get 50 to cast on.I really hope this helps you with any pattern you run into and any yarn you want to use.

I restarted about five times with looser tension and still the same thing. Im so frustrated. I really wanted to do this for my mother in law that is battling cancer. I’m an advanced crocheter. But Im not sure what I’m doing wrong on this. Very frustrated about this.
