i am using worsted yarn, trying to make this stitch.... started with size 10 needles, and as the piece got larger, it was curling at the bottom... So i pulled it out, and redid with size 11, with no success.... why is my fabric curling?

I'd have done a row in P or K1P1 first instead of just K. That will stop it. K will always curl.
