You did an excellent job with this video. It was very easy to see each technique and you did it slow enough for new knitters to really get a clear view of how this was done. Thanks!

Nice pattern. When you do the "YO" then slip purlwise, don't you need to put the yarn in the back before doing the "KFB" or were you leaving it in front for a different look?
@TheNervousKnitter7 жыл бұрын
+Karen Semones I left it in the front for a different look... There are no rules when you make up your own pattern, that is what makes it fun! Thanks for watching... ❤

Love this pattern! Any hints for converting the pattern for knitting a cowl in the round? Thanks so much!

Zelphia Ellerson I will have to try it out, may have to play around with it to get it right... Thanks for watching!

It would be lovely as a cowl. I just can't figure out the reverse of the ssk stitch!

Try loosening off the tension in the yarn you are holding in your right hand. It should loosen the tension and eliminate the sqeaking. My Mom knit everyday for 73 years. She held the yarn just lightly in her right hand. It takes practice. It was hard for me to do, too. 😁

You're holding the yarn in your right hand too tightly which is making your tension too tight, hense all the squeaking. If you want to knit for a life time you have to loosen up / soften your grip. If not, you'll end up with arthritis. Good job on the pattern, by the way.

Can I just say... when you are a nervous knitter and you're looking for guidance, why in the world would you post a video that has a mistake in it, when you could easily have retaped it? The title of your stream is "The Nervous knitter" but you've inadvertently made those who are trying to do this MORE NERVOUS. So stupid.

+Laura Freeman the reason I don't edit out mistakes is because it shows what problems others may run into. It also shows that things don't always work out perfectly. I'm sorry if you find the name of my channel "stupid" my only intentions are to help people, but I guess I can't help everyone...

I don't find your channel title stupid... in fact, I found it heartwarming which is why I have used patterns from your page...but this mistake, when I was following so closely was a problem. You don't want to create problems for people that are unnecessary, do you? People look for expertise, not for inadvertent problems. Just be graceful, and take the feedback in stride. No reason to get defensive... try and understand what makes nervous people even more nervous, ok?
