I love to watch you knit. I get such gratification out of it. I believe watching you inspired the knitting habits I have formed, along with a couple of other fantastic youtube knitters. Knit on, sisters.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

When I was learning this technique, it took a bit of practice before I mastered it. Give yourself time to get it.

Hi Suzanne, Thank you very much for all the very interesting videos. I’m a new « pandemic » knitter and have a lot to learn. I’m looking for a good video of shadow wrap short rows. Is it the same as the Japanese short rows? Thank you! Anne

Does this work with double point needles? The part at the end where you are passing the yarn over to the other needle looks like it would be hard to do with DPN's.
@SuzanneBryan3 жыл бұрын
You can do it, you will just need to use the extra needle.

Suzanne...what adjustments, if any, do I make if I knit the heel in garter stitch? Thanks.
@SuzanneBryan4 жыл бұрын
Because garter stitch has more rows per inch, you would either have to add more rows or you would end up with a very short heel.

Thank you for this video. I've been looking for one that doesn't use a provisional CO. Can you explain how you CO the sts?
@SuzanneBryan5 жыл бұрын
This is a great question. If you are working a yarn over short row toe for a toe up sock, you will need to use some sort of provisional cast on to get started. If you are working a cuff down sock, you can still work this toe, by just continuing from the fabric you already have on your needle. You would then need to graft the last stitches to the sock to finish it.
@Flashing19575 жыл бұрын
@@SuzanneBryan I was hoping you would explain how you added them to the needles just as they appear in the video. Thank you for replying.

@@Baglady1978I don’t think so looks more like a Turkish cast on. Can’t wait to hear her reply.

Hi Suzanne ...Thank you so much for all your videos. They are so interesting and I just sit and watch and learn. I tell my husband I am in class ... LOL. I have been watching tutorial after tutorial on the short row heel technique without the wraps and turns. I just came across this technique and was looking for a video that shows the beginning of the cast on. It looks quite interesting but I couldn't find one. Is there a pattern?

What kind of cast on does this sock have?
@SuzanneBryan5 жыл бұрын
This is a provisional cast on.

Do you have a sock pattern with short rows??
@SuzanneBryan4 жыл бұрын
Not toe up. Sorry. I really prefer cuff down and have several patterns with short row heels, cuff down. check out my patterns on Ravelry.
