Yeah, Neve has been a pick of mine (if my Rook does romance someone) a while! I already liked my Rook would be a Shadow Dragon (freeing slaves and exposing corruption? Count me in!) so she seems apt! Your point about Neve being someone who thinks people deserve special chances is spot on too. As well as the Varric/Solas bit, there's also something else... [CREATOR PREVIEW EVENT SPOILERS, BEWARE!] in early game she disapproves if you decide to punish/leave behind someone who did something awful but was seemingly influenced/possessed to do it.

Although im commenting 2 days later i got to say that this episode has been my favorite in your series. Ofc im biased bc im 99% sure i will be romancing neve first. when u said the elder sister part i felt sort of attacked bc it was so spot on! Neve is the cool calm and collected person in the face of adversity in this case the end of the world. I believe the choice of making her an ice mage is not only true to her personality but also part of her work. Her freeing slaves means she must face blood mages occasionally and cold and blood dont mix. Also the saying "this case has gone cold" comes to mind when i see her detective background. I doubt shes the type to let cases go cold but i assume shes the type to dig up evidence of these cold cases and solve them perhaps trying to make up for the fact that she's haunted by a certain cold case in her personal life?? Idk that might just be my ramblings! I am excited to see Taash next

I think Neve is interesting on paper, but, admittedly, being someone that weighs voice acting quite heavily, I am concerned with what I have seen of Neve thus far. Her delivery has been extremely flat, even for lines that feel like they should have some intonation and inflection on them. Her actress has few credits to her name, and I'm concerned that that is on display with what we've seen so far. I really hope I'm wrong, though, and of course I'll give it a proper chance. Just have a nagging concern over that element of her characterisation.

Mystery, noir styled detective work, a very lovable and confident protagonist. I knew I'd want to get to know her more, I'm so happy she's gonna be a companion! I can't wait to see the dynamic between her and my Rook! 🤭 About the "eldest daughter" talk, I am the youngest sibling in my family but I would give anything to have a sister like Neve 😭💜 Also I'm a very slow player and I will enjoy every second of the game as much as possible, so it might take a while to get around to watch your run but I am already soooo excited to watch that haha!
