Chris Masterjohn is so smart. 🤓 For the TPN why woulsnt they use canola oil? Isnt that more ideal for all the EFAs? Or does soybean oil have the highest omega 6 amount?

Question: I eat canned cod liver once per week (About 75 grams of liver). It contains 7500 MCG Vit A + 5,4 grams omega 3. I know to much vitamin A from Animals can be harmfull. Can i eat it all at once or should i spread it across the week? Thanks!

People who are on 100% Plant Based Diets do not have to compare themselves to Omnivores. On a Plant Based Diet you don’t have to worry about too much Arachidonic Acid because it’s found in animal products. Getting enough Omega 3 ALA and Omega 6 LA from whole foods is not difficult and you don’t need oils to do it. Only about 1% of Omega 6 LA is converted to Arachidonic Acid. Not eating processed foods, fast food, cutting back on restaurant food and staying away from processed oils is the key to health. People that eat Plant Based Diets have lower levels of Dementia than Omnivores. I think this DHA supplementation is good for those who sell it.

I understand it’s Vitamin B2. Braggs nutritional yeast would provide daily dose needed .
