Most major paint brands use major spray gun brands with there paint I worked in paint business for over 30 years and all major brands have recommended major spray gun brands just different air pressure and for the love get a basecoat gun and a clear gun iwata or sata make good guns what we use a lot in south which is totally different then anywhere else due to heat and humidity period

@@kandyman5315 you are correct about the paint gun. The automotive paint supplier in the Detroit area where I get the paint and supplies recommended Devilbliss to me by the owner. The advice that was given by the owner was if you keep the paint gun clean, maintain and never misuse it. I know a lot of painters who have painted customs cars for the Detroit Autorama . The automotive paint suppliers do recommend certain guns . I never had any issues, I have a primer gun, base coat and detail gun. I want to get a clear coat gun just for clear coat. I am willing to try Luma3 clear coat gun.

I’d love to see you try the sata 5500 they have a newer cc cap for clear. If you did get overspray on something you’re not painting.. what would you do to fix it? I’ve had luck wiping it off with wax and grease remover

Wow that color match turned out really great i take alot of pride in doing my colors right aswell. You ever have jobs like that tho that you really cant get a match on? Maybe its acceptable but your not completely happy with it or do you always spend as much time and material to get a perfect match regardless of the condition of the car

@@kandyman5315 I have the Meiji, (pronounced MAY-GEE) the manufacturer of these guns version. It's slower but puts down a fine film similar to the WS400. Their build quality is amazing.

Overspray under the plastic makes a mess. I was going to sell my dv1 clear gun. At paint training I used the base dv1, I put the base cap on the clear gun and its the best metallic gun I have for the paint I use.

Which clear gun did you have? The DV1 C1 clear cap is completely identical to the DV1 B1+ base Cap, that's why people complained about how slow it was for clear

@BryanMiranda96 It has the c2, It's not a good gun for low voc clear. It's still slow, I turn the fan in just over 1 turn. With the b+ cap and waterborne wide open the speed is fine. I'm glad I found a use for it. Have to try it with sealer now it's not being used for clear.
