I receive this question pretty much on the daily, so it’s about time I make this video! ✨💯 Don’t forget to check my story highlights on instagram @bigcheapskate for lacing templates to help you find a lacing technique that’s best for YOU 🥰
Due to my rather unusual lacing style, I’m frequently asked: “Why do you lace your roller skates like that?” 😱💥
While both of my roller skate setups are supportive Riedell Ice Skating boots @riedellice (just about as stiff as your front door😂🫡)…👇🏻
The way I lace my skates also has to do with my unique foot shape 👣, and helps to keep my sore 😖 painful skating feet as comfortable as possible while I roll 🛼💫
Many roller skaters don’t realize just how great of an impact your lacing technique can have on not just your comfort 💥, but your skating abilities and your capability to edge to your greatest potential inside your skating boot 🛼⛸️
For your convenience 😌 I’ve created a story highlight folder on my instagram profile @bigcheapskate “Lacing Up🪢”, with 12 different lacing techniques for various foot shapes and comfort needs 👇🏻
1. High Arches
2. High Mid-Foot
3. Too Tight On Top
4. One Area Too Tight
5. Flat Feet
6. Narrow Feet
7. Wide Feet In General
8. Wide Forefoot
9. Narrow Heel + Wide Forefoot
10. Heel Slipping
11. Toe Pains
12. Swollen Feet
I am always working to improve my content for you guys, so your feedback in the comments is always so appreciated 🙏🏻🥹🛼
