Great vid chaps. love it. I prefer Ryobi to Black and Decker, oops sorry I mean DeWalt. It is slightly less costly and is just as tough as the DeWaldecker...

@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT going to give it a try, we've moved 12hrs away from family etc so thought we'd do updates. We will see how it goes, I need to work on my editing skills though 🤣 haha, knowing my husband the pod won't be finished before he has us moving on to the barn...🙄

fab, but just make sure the first piece is level all the way along, this one slightly bows in the middle, also calculate the number of boards to the top prior to deciding on the overlap The calculation is the height of the board minus the overlap divided by the height of the total cover. That ensures you don't have a small piece at the top

I just looked up those Bulldog nails you mention, I was looking for some 90mm framers ... are you sure they are cheaper!? Screwfix are selling 2200 Dewalt brand 3.1x90mm for £46. Bulldog price £72 for just 1100!!
@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT3 жыл бұрын
Hey James, the ones I used for the cladding are stainless steel so that's why they are expensive. Screwfix do have 20% off their Paslode stainless steel at this very moment so they're probably more inline price wise with the Bulldog ones but I didn't look up the price of them again. I used stainless steel on the cladding so I didn't get rusted heads and runs after a few years fingers crossed. You don't need stainless for 90mm framing nails unless you're dealing with oak. Normal steel nails in oak oxidise/rust quickly. Although stainless steel nails are more brittle so you decide which is the better of 2 evils. For the 90mm framing nails I've been using fischer for value and convenience 👍

@@THE-AIDEN-PROJECT Actually, you are right. I wasn't paying much attention to what they were made from, the galvanised ones compare much better!

I used 2.8 X 64MM RING STAINLESS STEEL FRAMING Nails. A few did pop out a little after a few weeks as the wood dried but they were easily hammered back in
