I believe Amazon is the right marketplace to test your new product ideas (especially if you are an inventor like myself :). I agree with everything Jonathan said. Amazon is becoming more challenging and as a seller who’s been selling since 2016 myself, I’ve seen it all! But as he said, it doesn’t really matter if your margin is good and if you know how to navigate the listing and get into the customers head.

@@AmerChaaban8 thank you so much for watching. Amazon is amazing but also difficult.

@@inventRight just so that listeners know what that means. Don't give up after trying out a couple of products! It took me around 3 products to see some traction then around 5 more products to really call it a business. You won't know unless you try!

How you make sure they not going to steal your idea when you send your prototype to china factories. Jhon you and Steven are a big inspiration. I learn more every interview, thank you guys …

They may months after you have massive sales. Why would any "steal" from unproven buyers, market? You should out-innovate Any thieves by interviewing every customer 😮😊❤❤🎉🎉

I don’t understand the wall safe idea. Why couldn’t a person just go to the hardware store and purchase a regular electrical wall outlet and just use that????
@richard-871023 күн бұрын
The cover is held on with magnets so it's easy to open and close.

@@richard-8710 Hey Richard, I'm not trying to demean your idea, but my question still stands, and the magnets are a good answer, but I would also ask,... how often would a person realistically get into this safety box? These are the kind of questions I ask myself when I try to come up with a new idea. Maybe I should stop asking those questions. It seems to be working for you. Congratulations. God bless.
@JonmCorbett16 күн бұрын
Yes, you could do that. That is how I prototyped my first outlet safe using materials from the hardware store. I had to add my own magnets and screws. Also, the hot glue was tricky to work with and took a couple of attempts to perfect it. I was able to make one for under $10 and about an hour of work. The version I'm selling is professionally manufactured and is way better than a DIY version as it has triple the storage space. As far as how often you would access it, I keep cash in mine and use it all the time to refill my wallet and pay landscapers etc.

Hi! I know that this video is on a totally different topic, but I had a burning question off topic. SO QUESTION: Does anyone have experience with submitting to Newell (company that owns Rubbermaid)? I've been considering a submission (online submission 😕) with them, but don't know if it will just sit....I do know I will need to try and make phone contact, but just thought I'd ask.
