This is the most helpful layer cutting tutorial for the at home hairstylist I've ever seen and I've seen a lot. Thank you! I'll be layering my new wig today.

This would've been a lot better if we could see how you were cutting. Your hand was in the way the whole time every time

Hi Donna! I know this question is a little late but I just came across your video and loved it but my only question is how you go about cutting the face framing layers?? Thanks
@donnarenae51754 жыл бұрын
Just section the area like you're cutting bangs but part in a wide upside down V ☺ place a rubber band to keep the hair together. Raise the ponytail and cut then cut into it so the hair won't be blunt. I hope I didn't lose you.....but it's demonstrated when I get to the top of my head when I'm parting the V

When she say cut into it u dont have too see it ..you know she dont mean going across she means turning the shears upwards and going into the hair that she's holding.. and start cutting upwards

No U actually DO NOT know that. The camera person should have moved to get a better angle.

I really couldn’t see how you “cut INTO it” as you so stated...but overall you cut layers the same way you’d cut your own natural hair. When I had a relaxer, I’d cut my real hair the same way...and I’d get the same results using only 2 sections. It would have been a better video had the person who was holding the camera repositioned him/herself in a way that your palm was visible...the top of your hand prevented anyone from being able to see how you cut “into it”.
