Brilliant video Matt, thank you. I’m 2 months shy of hitting the 2 year mark of my foray in to Tech (currently working as a juniour cloud engineer doing CRM platform & infrastructure support) but even before “taking what I could get” at the time as I’d tried hard to make the career change & get my proverbial foot in the door of the industry, I was more so inclined to becoming a data analyst. Now, it’s even more clear to me after what relative experience I have that it does speak to me more than just pure backend/infra/devops etc. work. I’d absolutely love to connect 1:1 if pos, but I couldn’t find your email. All the same I’ve subscribed. Cheers! Elias.

This was a very good video. I really like how you emphasized the non-technical skills that data analysts/scientists should have.

Not sure if it is worth spending huge amounts of time learning these skills when businesses will soon be able to self serve on data using natural language powered by AI 🤔

AI requires articulate prompts in order to provide service. therefore, i believe the quality of the results are directly related to the quality of the prompts. thus, i think the implementation of the knowledge can change but the need for the knowledge won’t. it’s worth it to spend time learning how things work bc then you can more deeply explore them.
