Coach Donny, just want to say that in all of the tutorials and videos I've watched in my short coaching career, I've learned more from your videos than all of them combined. I really do appreciate not only the amount of time you put into it, but the attention to detail to make sure we understand.

Little correction to the part around 1:40: The set itself is not the fault, the illegal action is hitting the ball above the net after the libero has set from the 3 meter zone.
@duhfuhfh967 жыл бұрын
the hitter is not allowed to jump or it is an illegal backrow attack
@joshw6047 жыл бұрын
actually it has nothing to do with jumping or not jumping, it's to do with hitting the ball above the net, as the original comment mentioned
@SoraDolla4 жыл бұрын
So, if your libero messes up, you can still throw it to the other side by hitting the ball below the net?

Hey, as always awesome job, great to see a 'big' tutorial video back on channel (not that tips aren't helping). Since someone else already mentioned that libero technically can set inside 10ft line with fingers, I'll leave it be, but I sitll have one big request. Covering. Where to be when someone else hits. You've already taught us most of basic techniques in defence and positioning on both attack and defense, that is *the* missing link :) I understand that it actually looks like a series of tutorials, but then again it might be a blackboard(ish) material as receiving or base defense were. Plus I have to thank you for all the stuff you've already uploaded, whithin a year I got from deep reserves on my faculty's team to being a first middle, so... great job you're doing :)

Long time viewer first time comment. I really identify with your style, it feels like how I was taught in a hs class in Texas that got me hooked. In Texas I coach girls and there’s a lot of difference in things like overhead setting from the Libero. I have a kid right now that is going to be awesome at this. Thanks ...

When I set as a setter I always square up at the outsides antenna as my reference point for every set. When I play libero where should I be squared up for my back sets? To the right side?
@duhfuhfh967 жыл бұрын
Technically not true about the setting rules, you can set in front of the ten foot line with your hands AS LONG as the hitter does not jump to attack. I get the point about utilizing hitters maybe that's why you didn't add this but you can still set with you hands in front of the ten foot.
@joshuaherman32784 жыл бұрын
They can still jump they just cannot contact the ball is entirely higher than the net. So a small jump at best.

Gale From The Sky Not at all, its said that you need 10,000 hours from ground 0 to master anything If your thinking about professional, I believe the age limit is like 40 50ish
@Chimkenss7 жыл бұрын
not at all, depending on what position you want to play, learning all the mechanics could be easier or harder all it takes is some time. besides, if you play some spots, the age of some professionals can be 40-50 like the other commenter said.
