How to lift wiper blades for wash or change Mercedes C class (W205)

In this video we show you how to put the windscreen wiper blades in to the service position. here we use our c220 C-Class coupe But this will work for all W205 Mercedes and many other modern Mercedes.
Instructions to put into service position
Step 1: Turn ignition on then off without starting then engine.
Step 2: Hold washer button down until wipers move to position.
To put wipers back to normal
Step 1: Turn on ignition
Step 2: Use any wiper function as normal and they will return

For the latest A Class Mercedes (2023 facelift) the drivers door needs to be open throughout for this to work. The start/stop button needs to be pushed on, then off quickly and the washer button pressed inwards within about 15 seconds. The wipers should then park in the correct position for lifting off the screen

I guess that to the next gen they'll add a clap 3 times, stomp twice, jump 4x to the process! Mercs are gr8, but the silly complications are dreadful.

I ended up turjing on my car, turning on the wipers and then turning off teh car when the wipers went into vertical position
