for people saying that it doesn't work on his model, I was thinking the same with my LG webos. Instead there is a step to do before pressing the 1105 code: you don't have to wait until the settings menu disappear, but until the channel number appears. Only then you type the code and it works

Ah sorry I understood now. No no I am using the default remote control shipped with my LG webos. The only issue I have is that it is a matter of timing to insert the magic code 1105. If you insert to soon or too late, it doesn't work.

YES!!!! That works! It has to still be displaying the channel number or it will just go to channel 110-5. So just hold down setting until it displays the channel number box and immediately type 1105 and wait. Also, as others have pointed out this hidden menu has different name on newer sets but it does the same. On newer set is will also rescale the volume scale unlike what appears to be an older set where it is still 0 to 100. I just randomly chose 36. I may change that setting later on. Most of the items on the menu are intuitive unlike the service menu.

Thanks a lot! Just did it on my LG C1 Oled. Just long press settings until they dissappear but as soon as the channel info pops up write in the code 1105 and press middle button on the control wheel. Just entering the code without pressing the button does nothing.

Hello Dominic: In my case I pressed the gearwheel for about seven seconds, and appeared a vertical settings bar on the left. Then it simply dissappears and I pressed the number 1105 -Neither box nor the figure 1105 appears on the screen at all, but after pressing OK, the "Hotel Mode Operation" does appear. The rest of the process is the same as you have described. Thank you very much for making and uploading this very useful video. It was very valuable to me.

I guess you're using the Magic Remote Control. This wont work. Get a traditional IR remote control. It can be any shape but not a magic remote control.

@@DominicGichane I tried the service remote too. It definitely does NOT work, pressing enter or not. You just go to the All Settings menu items on my C1. I can see the access code if I scroll through the service menu. You just have the wrong method for imputing it.

Nope, they are wrong, his set kept the channel displayed so it worked by dumb luck, hold it until the channel box appears, IGNORE the menu status, he is wrong, 1105 will then grant access.

Do you know how to increase the VOLUME on an LG TV 55LN5310 because I turn up the volume 0 to 100...after about 20 it doesn't go any louder. I have trouble hearing the voice on TV and need it much louder. I check the settings that you gave us here and the volume was already set to MAX at 100 on my TV. This would be great information if I can get it to work. I have an LG TV, I follow all the steps and nothing. My Mother is going deaf, refuses to use her hearing aid and blasts the TV. It is a major problem. Is there a certain model TV this only works on? I'm at the point where I will replace a year old TV with a new one just to be able to limit the volume and live in peace.

Hi Dominic, great video! I tried to use it at my Mother In Laws this morning on her LG tv, but I could not get anywhere with it, after holding down the menu button, it just went back to the normal picture. Now I’m home, I have just tried the same thing on my LG tv ., ( bought similar time, about 15 years ago) and it worked perfectly, BUT (have I made that obvious enough!!??), I have my PS4 in my HDMI 2 socket and it all worked perfectly with the hotel mode! The tv at my Mother In Law’s only has a basic Aerial lead plugged into it, no sky or tv box, so there is nothing coming through the HDMI sockets. Is that why it doesn’t work in her flat or am I just missing something here? A brain, maybe!!??🤓

Set must be ON, Mute, 1,1,9, enter/OK, you have to do it at an even pace, hen wait long time. It will not scroll otherwise. I fixed one set and gave up on the other. I am not sure of their service remote will give you access to the volume control menu or not. All Samsung remotes use the same signals. I mix Samsung remotes all the time. The just have different buttons.

This does not work on the C1 series. I can see the access code when I use the service remote but I can not get it to respond by holding down the settings button as you suggest. If anything it will just change to channel 110-5. By the way, the menus are on the left side in the US.

Note: this doesn't work on the LG TV UN7300AD (bought in 2021). Pressing either the Home or Setting (gear icon) button for 5 seconds doesn't bring up a menu with HDMI or hotel mode or public settings mode as an option. Contacted LG tech support, they said the only modes available for this TV are standard and demo mode (the mode they use in stores to show off the TV).

I press the Settings button for 5 seconds, the vertical menu comes up on the left of the screen (not the little icons, but the words Picture, Sound, Programmes, Connection, General, Safety, Accessibility etc) after 2 seconds, then disappears, I press 1105 and Enter, and the TV goes to Channel 5 (in the UK)... The Hotel Mode screen never pops up.

You have to use the normal IR remote control. Magic a remote controls don't work.

@@DominicGichane So, I guess you were wrong about any shape since one of those IS the magic remote and I did test the PROPER procedure does not work. You need a square shaped one and enter 1105 when the CHANNEL is display and not keep holding down like you said with ANY remote. I also have the service remote and you must STOP when the CHANNEL is displayed not what you said which will get the same “All Settings” menu with EITHER remote.

You say the AUX and FM Radio have low volume. Assuming that CD and DVD have normal volume, then the problem might be with the main board.The only remedy will be to replace it. Now this might be a problem because I am 100% sure that all spare parts for this model, HT914S are discontinued. My advice would be to buy another home theater system.
