Have you ever thought about living a global lifestyle? Did you know you could make it happen for less than $1500/month? In this video I share exactly how you could, where to research, and how to pay for this lifestyle. People who are interested in the FIRE movement or living as digital nomads may find this video very informative or at-least in line with their ambitions
I started to think about living a global lifestyle after visiting Thailand. Then I started to think how to retire early and what would be the best city to retire in. From that point I have been advocating for taking advantage of being a US resident, having income from the USA, to use to support myself in other countries. I haven't officially left just yet but I have made in other countries, learned foreign languages and having tons of passive income.
I will continue to document this journey of mine and hope to inspire more people to Retire Early and live a global lifestyle.

I have yet to visit Argentina, my wife loves it there, maybe I live there for a few months! The reason for Medellin is mainly proximity to the states and the Latin culture that I love. So Medellin is only 2.5 hrs to Miami 5 hours to NYC both cities I have business so I wanted to be a quick flight from home. I would imagine Buenos Aires puts me at the 12 hour mark for a direct flight to NYC - a little longer than I would like. Cost of living in Colombia is good plus wife has a lot of family living in Medellin. Weather as well is pretty nice. Where are you living now?

Hey Karl, love your videos, they are super informative. Quick question about AirBnB, what types of challenges do you face when managing properties at a distance? Do you hire a property manager to oversee any maintenance issues that arise, upkeep on the property, or helping guests on site who may need assistance with something? That's been my biggest fear about owning and renting at a distance-- not being close enough to solve any problems for tenants or guests, like if they get locked out in the middle of the night. Would love any advice you have there. Thanks!
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 4 жыл бұрын
My go to is the person who turns over the apartment. When there is an issue I have her fill in and investigate. Also its good to have a handy person for some of the other issues. Ultimately you pay per clean or repair, so when getting started you should also immediately look for you service providers. Lockouts you can deal with by having a spare quick in a lockbox nearby or a key locker. I use a service called Keycafe and to date have never interfaced with a client for key exchanges. Everything is done remotely and with lock box. Most reservations run smoothly. Periodically issues arise most guest are crafty and cooperative. The minority are cry baby's. Overall advice is go for it and hedge with technology and adhoc service providers - totally some of the easiest money I make.

US has gotten so expensive to live in with all the crazy inflation going on. I am paying almost 100% more on expenses than what I was paying 6 months ago. US is having massive problems and quality of life and services have gone down the tubes. I like how you are looking at relocating to Columbia. I was wondering how you were able to make the move when healthcare is a physical in person industry. Also, did you give up you NYC apartment or put your stuff in storage to move?
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 3 жыл бұрын
100% inflation I doubt but understand where you're coming from. Relocation to Colombia was a cost reduction strategy as well as improving quality of life. I finance my lifestyle from business Rev and investments. NYC apartment is on airbnb generating about 1000/mo profit. FL property same. I own Healthcare companies so I physically am not responsible for administration of direct patients care. However as a patient care worker one could do 6 months in the states save, and live 6 months abroad. Good ideas for a video post or Live discussion

You are suggesting that individuals who work in industries in which they are responsible for the lives of others, double their already exhausting workload ... how many lives will be lost or placed in danger do you estimate?
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 4 жыл бұрын
Each person should know their limits and work accordingly. If I were in the business of estimating such variables I would be an actuary, which I am not. I am only a healthcare professional and entrepreneur, who knows the earning potential associated with the industry. Your comment is a hyperbole that somehow try's to connect me encouraging people to do whatever they can, including healthcare workers, to potentially live a life where they travel more, because it is one of their life goals, to overworking themselves risking their life and the lives of others. That's a bit extreme and an irrational argument. Sorry if somehow encouraging the public to seek alternative lifestyles got you upset. If it's not for you, its not for you. Consider something else that may be less exhausting like investing in real estate or the stock market. In the next hundred years i guarantee about 6-7 billion people who are alive today will be dead. Death is our guarantee in life so I don't go around thinking or estimating death tolls as it relates to work.
@KEMET1971
@KEMET1971 4 жыл бұрын
@@Karl__Pierre If you are a healthcare worker then you should know that encouraging healthcare workers to double their already extensive workload is irresponsible, you don't need to be an actuary to see that, it is common sense. The fact that you even bring up the profession of an actuary, combined with your statement regarding the inevitability of death makes it quite clear that you have little concern for the lives of others.

Working like this . You will never get a pension or your 401k, you could contribute into a Vanguard for a 401k once a week. But living this way you'll never get a pension. And Hospital workers are still one of the one employers that will give you a pension. People look forward to having a pension after working in a medical facility for say 30 years for years as a nurse you would be losing so much money working this way.
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 4 жыл бұрын
@@marieajordan2574 this is true if a pension is your goal. I don't trust pensions because they can go bankrupt and what was promised may not be there in 30 years. Even the hospital. I have very little faith in depending on social security, or pensions for retirement. On this channel I also teach how to build wealth so that things like this are more than covered. Imagine having $100,000 of monthly income through rent collections in 30 years rather than dependence on the pension. I know it's not for everyone but working for 30 years, with only 4 weeks off is not something I encourage. Understand what I mean?
@Karl__Pierre
@Karl__Pierre 4 жыл бұрын
@@KEMET1971 I don't know what you are talking about. Once again if you have a better alternative I suggest you go around promoting the alternative. I worked 80 hour weeks for years all to acheive my goals. I traded my time for dollars and that was that. Again you are arguing your feelings with facts... that is a nonsensical argument. If you're going to negate my suggestion atleast offer something to the public as a better method. I have recommended more methods but somehow you're stuck on the healthcare option. Here on this channel my number one objective is showing the public how they can build their revenue and reduce their workload. That is my objective. So to go around saying I have no regards for humanity is simply untrue.
