Friendly tip: you can make even yummier pasta sauce if you use tomato paste and a little water + spices. It'll taste more like the stuff in the jar which is usually make with the paste. ^_^

Hey! Just a nutritional tip--all those wonderful vitamins and minerals from the food you've purchased are not being absorbed as much as they can be! Vitamins are fat-soluble, so you might want to include some healthy fats like nuts, seeds, avocados and coconut. As for minerals, you want to add something acidic--like vinegar or lime juice--to make them more bioavailable! This is super important because food consumption does not necessarily mean nutrient absorption. I know a lot of vegans disagree with B12 supplementation, but it really is important since we can't get it from our food. I personally use Deva Vegan B12 Sublingual Supplements. They're pretty cheap, I purchased mine on Vitacost for something like seven dollars. They have absolutely no gelatin, glycerin, whey, or any other sneaky animal products in them. One hundred percent vegan, and they taste pretty good. They're chewable, too. They're 2500mcg each, so I take one weekly. There are ninety tablets, and, at one per week, you'll have enough for an entire year and the better part of another! Not bad for just seven bucks, I think every vegan should incorporate them, and I consider them to fit in the "$3 a Day" budget. Additionally, they're free of yeast, soy, gluten, wheat, sugar and salt. And, no, I wasn't paid to say all this, I'm just trying to help my fellow vegans out.

Florencia Tabarez but if she has only like £21 dollars a week then she cant spend a third on supplement

u should try saute small taro slices with veggies, oh my God, taste amazing as fatty meaty taste to our veggy saute dish, 1st time i stir fry with taro slices tho turn out taste very good like meat in it due i remember my friend put bit taro in vegan Vietnamese egg rolls to give meaty taste n it does. due taro get cooked slower so stir fry them first about cooked then throw in veggies n plain tofu, its delicious. u can put curry, sa te seasoning n coconut milk too.

haha I think blending tends to work better when pasta's not in the mix & when there's a ton of tomatoes. I feel like pasta really needs that thicker base because it doesn't cook down. also yes chana dal!! I've used that for so many things haha. tastes so good with the right spices & rice!

Stupid question: is there a difference between soy and almond milk when it comes to adding it to things. Like would you add a different amount to the pancakes
@fionapook20216 жыл бұрын
Heather Banks i don't think so, unless you were using canned coconut milk which tends to be thicker. The only time you might need soya milk is if you are making a mayonaise or buttermilk and need the higher protein in the soya milk. I tend to just use whatever 'milk' I have in the fridge!

+carb rock If humans are herbivores as some vegans claim you should be able to go around eating grass for free or just go into a forest and eat leaves and plants like the deer.
@carbrock.28549 жыл бұрын
+crazywaffleking Humans are more frugivore than foliovore; we can't just go around eating grass like a ruminant. Our digestive system is better designed to digest large amounts of fruit and tender vegetables like young greens, as well as cooked starches.
@Avocadhoes9 жыл бұрын
+crazywaffleking this argument is tired. Fact is we don't have to eat animals to live, so vegans don't. I don't personally fancy taking a life unnecessarily because I'm not insane.
