@jasmineshort24699 жыл бұрын
Gili Cohen I'm really not a fan of juices, they're full of nutrients but they're also full of sugar without any fibre. I'd much rather have a smoothie, not removing the fibre means everything is digested slower so you're still getting the same nutrients just without the sugar spikes, plus you'll be fuller for longer.

+cumensu, word... to walk out of the grocery store with 2-4 pounds of top sirloin, or rib-eye steaks would need to spent 20-50 dollars easy. 2pound tri-tip loin is 24-30 dollars. Captain Cici you just gotta look into what your body needs and look up different fruits veggies nuts or wheat, the plant kingdom gives you everything your body wants and needs. or just look up vegan recipes lol ive made and tryed a couple there actually really good, leave me feeling happier and more energized to. not sure if others feel the same but i feel good after a healthy meal lol
@CapitalNaturel9 жыл бұрын
Captain Cici Taking nutrition advice from a Doc is a very bad idea as most aren't trained more than a handful of hours in that particular field... A plant based lifestyle is IDEAL for many deficient diet issues! :) We should all be eating at least a pound of greens a day!? Are you?! Pairing those greens with fresh vitamin C rich foods ensures you absorb as much as your body can... Whole food iron supps FOR A TIME/AS A CRUTCH as you get your levels back up is also a good idea! Get advice from a naturopath or a holistic nutritionist. Docs know a lot, but nutrition wise, they shouldn't be your first stop! Vx #GoVegan #ItsTime ;)

Hi I'm 14 and I'm a vegetarian working my way to vegan even just being vegetarian for a month now there's been a difference do you have any tips though for the change from vegetarian to vegan
@kanekiken46148 жыл бұрын
At first I got a lot of vegan alternatives like vegan yogurt, almond milk, vegan ice cream (I love So Delicious) and vegan cheese and eggs. That stuff can be expensive but helpful at first. It's really not that bad. You can eat Oreos if you live in the US and almond chocolate milk by Blue Diamond killed chocolate and sweet cravings. Now I just casually eat cereal just make sure it has no honey, toast, bagel (just not egg bagels), PASTA, salads (careful of dressings), veggies, and fruit. Chips, pretzels, non-buttered popcorn, rice, TOFU. It's really just a balance of carbs and veggies and fruit. I can rarely think about dairy anymore. It just seems gross to me. If u need encouragement, watch some vegan vids. I love bitesizevegan. Good luck and stay happy with this amazing lifestyle!

@fablunch Regarding Multivitamins, I highly recommend Garden Of Life or New Chapter. They are a bit pricey but are 100% whole food based, sprouted and/or fermented. If you try the Garden of Life protein powder, it already has a lot of vitamins which is what I do but then I also take an extra vitamin B complex and vitamin C. It is okay to take extra B & C. But be sure to use buffered or Ester-C. Your video is really awesome! I love it! I see how healthy you and look. Many blessings to you 💚

A trick to keep your bananas fresh longer - tear them apart and put saran wrap on the tips. the reason they go bad is because gases (i forget which) are released through the stems, which makes them go brown. You waste fiber by juicing! Make a smoothie instead
@chrisgumb89868 жыл бұрын
+Meredith Olin Yeah, it made me sad seeing all the fiber slough out of the juicer just to be discarded. That's part of the reason those foods are desirable in the first place!

I'm not vegan or vegetarian, but I love this lifestyle. Whenever I juice I give the leftovers to my chickens and it creates some good eggs!

isnt the fiber good for regularity? i mean i would never throw that fiber away, i just think people want things to be too smooth and they are picky not realizing they are throwing away the good stuff

lemon juice is highly acidic... not alkaline. lemons have pH of 2-3.. water has a pH of 7.4 mix them together you will get a lemon water solution of 5-6pH.
@mtnmotoadv8 жыл бұрын
Citruses are acidic but they contain vitamins that help combat heartburn. I know that's true with oranges at least
@MrGrapesforall8 жыл бұрын
Frankenscuzz 2:29 she clearly writes high alkaline suggesting it has a pH of above 7.8. Additionally, it just looks like she on a liquid diet, with loads of supplements. Dont think this is "healthy" at all, especially not if you have a physical job. Maybe this diet will give a blogger the energy they need.

Lemon is alkaline forming food. There is a difference between alkaline and alkaline forming food.Alkaline food do not have to be alkaline to start with but their effect on the body is what counts!

How can you eat that much in one day?!
@softiehoseok95648 жыл бұрын
Because if you eat small portions, then you'll start craving more food preferably the unhealthy junky foods. So it's important you stock up frequently.

2:30 says lemon water is highly alkaline. That is incorrect. Lemons are acidic, not alkaline. I'm not arguing it's not healthy for you, but simple litmus paper would tell you that's just a factual mistake.
@troyesivan50489 жыл бұрын
No. pH become stuffed up in the stomach. I don't know how,you can search it up, but she is true.
@Marialla.9 жыл бұрын
+Troye Sivan I'm sorry I don't quite understand what you're trying to say. The stomach is naturally full of acid, and lemons are acidic. Nothing about that combination will turn anything alkaline.
@Kurauone__9 жыл бұрын
+Marialla rather it is acidic but alkalizing in its effect on the body.
@Marialla.9 жыл бұрын
Thabo M How is this demonstrated? What is measured as first being more acidic, then after drinking lemon water found to be less acidic?
@Kurauone__9 жыл бұрын
Lemons are acidic but inside the body when they have been fully metabolized and their minerals are dissociated in the bloodstream, their effect is alkalizing and therefore raises the pH of body tissue. Just google it - there is a lot of good information on this.

I have been thinking of going vegan because all those factory farm videos of chickens in discussing caged and cows with there throats slit. But I feel like I would never be able to eat most sandwiches. I don't know because I really hate vegetables:p

I used to hate vegetables when I wasn't a vegetarian! Your taste buds are used to all the trashy food you eat and you don't get the real great flavor or veggies! I used to hate mushrooms before being a veg now I love them so much, your taste buds change once you give them better food :)
@SarahRohrs9 жыл бұрын
+Spring Howell look up dr mcdougall! fill up on starches and beans and lentils and potatoes and stuff like that...doesnt ever hurt to add in some greens but yeah im not huge on vegetables myself haha thhink its a bad misconception that vegans or vegetarians are just like obsessed with vegetables haha. if you dont care about the health overly vegetable aspect but want to be vegan for the animals and the planet there are tons of meat and cheese substitutes that im obsessed with!! the sliced turkey and sausages can taste so realistic! look up the brands field roast, gardein, tofurkey, daiya :D

Most people that cook at home spend even more time cooking than she did. What are you comparing it to? A fast food diet? Or processed food diet?
@evercuriousmichelle9 жыл бұрын
Madi Paul I'm guessing that English is their second language so let's give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they are just confused how someone could do all of that in addition to doing a full time job. I also wondered that. Granted, I'm slow at cooking and don't have a dishwasher so perhaps that explains it.
@subscriptions5109 жыл бұрын
+Ever curious: Michelle my parents always had 2 jobs when I was growing up, they always found time to cook at home. It's all about priorities. Not to mention it was too expensive to always go out to eat or buy processed food.

I really hate when people say eating healthy is expensive. I bought all healthy foods, no meat, mostly veggies yesterday & it was only $40! & the groceries will last me almost 2 weeks. People can't admit that they're just lazy & don't want to do the research.

Well then make the switch slowly. See if there's any replacements to milk or meat that you enjoy and then incorporate it. You can still enjoy pasta, chocolate, oats, burgers, pizza, cashew-based cheese and other filling food as a vegan. Just see what you like and take time with it!
@susu96598 жыл бұрын

Hello Beautiful Olga! I'm a little late on this one; just watched! But you mentionned wanting options for Vegan Multis so here I am! I loooOOOooove Garden of Life products: raw D3, B12, Raw Meal in Vanilla Chai! Yummm-my! I take their Raw Prenatal Whole Food Multi and love it (I'm not pregnant or trying to be, I am of childbearing age though.) Suggested use is 3 caps a day, but one is fine for me as I use it more as a top up than for therapeutic benefits. High integrity, high quality, organic, non GMO, 100% renewable energy, glass bottle... Their products are flawless to me! And nope, nobody's paying me to say that! ;) Hope it helps! Love your sweet videos, you're a joy to watch! Vx
