I fully agree! This was an excellent video and I have always loved fashion. I’m 59 and my wonderful husband died 13 years ago. Our kids are grown and I’m an empty nester but I still make an effort to be put together. It’s important for my own emotional well being and it’s such a creative outlet. It really is self expression and my kids both love clothes too. I always feel good when my daughter wants to raid my closet when she visits. She’s 25 and lives in NYC so she sees it all! My son has such a great eye too so I run things by them and get a thumbs up or down when I’m on the fence. Thanks Nancy. I loved seeing your picture from years ago. Please do more like this!

Boy, I can relate to this. In high school it was Seventeen magazine and then I graduated to Glamour, lol. Then in my late 20's, early 30's life happened. Moving to another state, marriage, baby, jobs, etc. Who had time for the latest fashion trends. Not me. But now I've retired and I'm putting in some effort. It makes me happy to look like I care about myself. I really appreciate this video and the advice. Now I've got to go through my closet and purge those items that just bring me down.

As usual you nailed it. I went through my entire life not understanding completely why some clothes looked great on me and others not so much. I see so many women dress so badly..and wearing wrong colors for their hair and skin tone. They think that does not matter but it does affect how others view you.

I have finally realized that "food colors " & harmonious warms look horrible on me! I look great in Sharp black & white with cool jewel tones like magenta, royal blue , fushia , racing green. I've learned to detect muted tones & avoid them because those were the clothes I never wore or felt good in. Since understanding my colors my curated wardrobe & purchasing is much easier.

I totally agree. I used to keep up on fashion. Then I got married, had kids, raised the kids. Now I wear Buc-ees t shirts with my denim shorts. I go for comfort. But I’m going to up my game. We did move from the Midwest to the South. So my wardrobe has changed. I need more clothes for warmer weather. And my body has totally changed. I’m learning to dress for the body I have now. I like to wear leggings with long sweaters. My husband doesn’t consider leggings as pants. I don’t do it very often. But they are comfortable. I’m looking into getting some trousers that are in style. I have everything else I need. But when it’s so hot out and I’m at home. I will be wearing my Buc-ees t shirts and my shorts.

Ive always loved fashion too, now, at 67 I hv to watch out because wearing alot of florals like I used to, and love, makes me look frumpy and more like 80!!! I think it is important to be mindful of our age when shopping. I find for me, neutrals and classic cuts look the best at my age. The coastal grandmother is my style💜When Im shopping, I look at the item objectively and ask myself “ would a 70 yo woman wear this”? Haha if the answer is no, I put it down. Yes, what 3 words define our style? Great vid thx
