I'd just like to say that in no way do I think Susan is saying that a woman has to put on makeup, whether minimal or full glam, to look pretty. She's saying when she is out with her son or on days when she's not filming that she puts on a small amount of product to feel like the best version of herself or just for herself. I put on perfume in the morning, even if I'm not going anywhere, and again at night despite the fact that I live alone and I'm the only one that will be in my bed. I find that doing this makes me feel better. It boosts my mood! Sometimes you do things to make you feel better about yourself or pampered. And there are plenty of "no makeup" makeup tutorials on KZbin. So this was no different. And I have no problem with a sponsored video every now and then. I like finding out about products I may have not heard of before. Or products that I may have heard about but just haven't tried. Also I think Susan's skin looks great even without makeup!😀

Emoretta Robinson Thank you! Sometimes I give up on trying to justify something I say or a title in this case. I’ve realized we all read into things the way we want, so I can explain until I’m blue in the face but not get through to everyone. I get asked about minimal makeup looks all the time and in my opinion it’s more about skincare and prep. I obviously don’t care if women wear makeup or not, but they do ask about it and it’s good to also acknowledge that we don’t have to wear a ton of it. As for sponsored content, I understand why viewers get upset. There’s something that feels less genuine to them, but I also don’t suggest products I wouldn’t use and I make sure to still give relevant information that can be applied to any brands. Friends! A couple things: I wear makeup to look and feel pretty. Of course you don’t need it. I’m really fascinated by the response to the title. Second, the skincare prep can have SPF right after moisturizer or not use SPF at all. I have a few notes about that, but it made me realize I might have a whole video to discuss. 👍

Do you use the Ren Glow Tonic every single day or only when you plan to wear makeup? Cos I only wear makeup once a week, so not sure if I need the AHA's as often...Also I sometimes layer my toners so can I layer this particular toner with the Acwell Liquorice Water 5.5 Balancing PH Toner on top or will it counteract the effect of the acids? I like the word fresh instead of young :) Becahse even when I WAS young, I didn't alwyas look "youthful" because it really isn't about age at all. That's just a marketing concept that's been around for a long long time. I look a lot fresher and more "youthful" now, at thirty, than I ever did in my tumultous teens or twenties!
