Great video! String player here looking to figure this looping stuff down. I know the basics and I can hit the pedal at the right time. What do you recommend I do next? I'm listening to looped songs and making very basic loops. I want to use it like Andrew Bird. Any advice helps, thanks!!
@ScottGuitarist2 ай бұрын
Not sure how many of my looping videos you've seen but give yourself the goal to arrange 3 songs as loop covers. Break the songs down into their basic elements and layer them up in different orders. I wouldn't get too hung up on how other people do it. Your style is shaped by performing songs that you enjoy. Even if your goal is to write original music, starting with analyzing other people's songs will give you a better idea of the elements you like to work with e.g. ostinato, volume expression, multiple harmonies, polyrhythm etc. I'd love to see how you get on.

The next time I'm in my car at the traffic lights, and my cars indicator syncs with the cars indicator infront of me, I'm gonna shout! Polyrhythm!!! Yeahhhh music theory bitch!!!!

Any tips on how to reduce white noise? I have the RC-30 and each loop I record the static gets louder.

3:30 I don't agree, I like how it sounds when the notes are not spread ! And you can't say, IMHO, that the more apart the more it sounds good, there is a whole world of close harmony and it is amazing ! :)

Please do some more ... I'm looking to buy looper , boss rc30, or nux loop core delux??? If you can help

Hi Ariel, I've only ever used the RC30 and it's been great. I will get around to reviewing other loopers. You can expect some more looping videos soon

can someone respond to this? I used the RC3. I seem to need the extra pedal to turn it off. Do you think the operation of the 2 pedal RC20xl is easier than the 1 pedal RC3 ? I'll take the RC20xl just for the 2 pedals. I think. anyone?
@ScottGuitarist Жыл бұрын
I used the RC3 briefly but never gigged with it. The RC30 I use is so much easier to control with the 2 pedals
@whiteboyskittytv5840 Жыл бұрын
@@ScottGuitarist I would think it's much easier with the big 2 pedal BOSS setup. I feel like the one pedal looper is a bomb that's gonna go off at anytime if you hit it wrong.

Hello Sir, how about verses and chorus. Do i have to play the same chords. Because lot of songs have different chords with verses and chorus . Hope you understand the question. Thanks for the video

HELP ! Can someone tell me why my "erase the last track" function is not erasing ??? THANKYOU

I’ve been trying to figure this out too. It seems you can only undo the overdub, not the initial track. Did you ever find anything that works besides delete?

No worries. Maybe I should do a video on all my favourite extra ordinary techniques rather than 'Advanced' ones

@@ScottGuitarist Yeah, and perhaps details on how you're dialing in your sound? I've actually never seen a vid in this vein, that didn't examine the techniques they were playing... isn't that the point really? I too was hoping for something more involved, but you present nicely, and that counts toward something; I finished the vid despite knowing all the tricks ;)

I agree, I have no idea how you were making that violin sound. Were you using the rc30? It woulda been nice to see the loop pedal and how you were doing these effects
@ScottGuitarist4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, and for the feedback. I’ve learned a lot about making videos since this one! I don’t watch other videos on the subjects I talk about because I don’t want to copy anyone, I prefer to be different to others making similar content. Otherwise all I’m doing is adding to the sea of noise.
@ScottGuitarist4 жыл бұрын
At 1:40 it shows me doing the violin effect. It’s literally just turning up my guitar volume. (I was learning a lot while filming this! ) 😂
