@@ceriafields1578 i start my day with a pot of coffee only using Splenda and powder creamer. Breakfast is 2 eggs and 6 strips of bacon. Lunch is 4 slices of lunch meat with a slice of cheese rolled up. Snack is pork rinds I love the flavored ones. Dinner is a lot of times meat and a large salad. A treat after dinner is usually some rebel brand ice cream but there are other brands of keto low carb options. The main thing is to track your foods values and stay in the goals. I subscribed because you are real. You are working on a limited budget just like most people. Keto flours and what not are expensive! I have bought them but 1 at a time. I also pay closer attention to my net carbs. I am at a stand still after 25 pounds. I also feel that if you don't have a whole lot of weight to lose, your body will go into protection mode. I only had 50 pounds to lose so I am half way there but I am only 4'10" and I am 65 years old on a fixed income. So I am doing the best I can. I feel better not eating processed foods and white flours. I cheated 1 whole day in 6 months and man did I feel awful. All those foods cause an allergic reaction in my throat. It swells up and I have an irregular pounding heartbeat because the swelling presses on my vegus nerve. I CAN'T eat those thing anymore. I am so glad I figured out what cause that awful feeling because the doctors weren't taking me serious. I am taking my health into my own hands. All they kept screaming was lose weight and exercise. I have fibro and arthritis and herniated discs. Tell me how to lose weight with all that. They couldn't. I found it. Thank you for sharing your story, you inspired me.

I am a 5'3, 40yr old, and having the same issues! I've been stalled for so long and I should be losing. I usually eat 1 meal and a snack a day or occasionally I will eat twice. Never going over my caloric intake. Always under. Starting to question if I have health issues or something. Can't really find that out because we don't have insurance. Kinda bums me out. Still eating keto, though. Don't want to stop because sugar causes disease and diabetes runs in my family. I will eat like this the rest of my life. I just feel better. Would feel even better is u list more weight. Lol
@marysekely95715 жыл бұрын
You might not be eating enough food. I found that out too. 1 meal a day also is not going to give you enough nutrients to keep you healthy. You might want to think about taking a daily vitamin. Honestly, don't rule out a thyroid problem. It is running rampid lately in women. If you can afford it, it would be worth it to get blood work done nd make sure they do all 4 thyroid tests. They try to tell you there are only 3 they are concerned with but there are actually 4 tests. Tell him because you are dieting and unable to lose weight. That is one of the symptoms of a bad thyroid too. Good luck. I am finally losing a bit more, down 27 pounds. I too will be eating like this permanently. Going back to flour and processed foods makes me feel awful...pounding and flipping heartbeats and swollen throat is not a way to live.
@lifebeginswithaseed5 жыл бұрын
@@marysekely9571 Thank you! How could not eating enough cause me to stay stalled? Considered thyroid and will probably, when my husband gets his new better job, with better insurance, get testing done. In the meantime I've been taking a thyroid supplement. Pretty sure I had adrenal fatigue and have been also taking magnesium, potassium, and ashwagandha. I should probably look into cutting out certain sweeteners as well.

Also, you may have the keto flu which is not really a flu but just means that you expended all of your electrolytes whenever you let go of all the water that carbs were making you hold. You may need magnesium citrate, potassium citrate and more salt. Calm brand is easily absorbable and I would take it in the evening just in case you have other effects from it like being a little "too regular", potassium citrate is the only form of potassium that you should take (my uncle is a retired neurosurgeon and into alternative medicine also and he told me that, as well as my doctor said the same thing) and only around the quarter teaspoon a day. You can order it from Amazon because most stores don't sell potassium citrate. I also use Redmond's Real Salt. I heat a little purified water and pour a small amount of it on the potassium and magnesium and stir, then add cool water and I drink it with a straw so it doesn't have to be tasted as much 😁 That may help you to get your energy back. Blessings!

Keto flu shake= -1cup coconut milk from the can -1/4 off an avacado (frozen or fresh) -3/4c of blueberries or mix of berries -1 beet top with part of the beet -1 cup or 1 large handful of spinach, kale or a mix of both. I freeze this. -2 droppers of Trace Minerals ionic magnesium 400mg. This stuff is very salty because it's derived from the sea and also contains potassium. Salt, magnesium, and potassium deficiencies are generally why keto flu happens. -add water and ice for desired consistency. -I add a powdered vitamin mix to this also - you can open up your probiotics and add them or any other powdered vitamins in a capsule or caplet. This knocks keto flu out. My keto flu was an insane migraine, feeling nauseous, and just being dead tired. As soon as I figured out that it was kflu I made this smoothie. I tweaked one that Dr. Berg and Thomas delauer recommended. You can buy the trace minerals magnesium from Amazon or thrive market.

You are an extraordinarily direct and convincing witness. I've been teetering on the edge of adopting the Keto approach to life, in large part to avoid toppling over into full-blown diabetes (A1C = 6.3), but the prospect of really diving in and lowering my carb intake from its present 60 - 90 grams a day to real Keto levels is appalling! I've already stopped eating so much delicious junk! I passed by a table in my supermarket today and it was loaded with Entemenn pastries, buy one get one free. I heard the siren song of my favorite pound cakes, and oh the pain of ignoring their appeal! 😩 I'm a first-time passerby here on your channel, and yet your obviously honest, plain-spoken approach has convinced me to subscribe. Congrats Amanda!!! This was one of your best videos girl. Very helpful to all our journeys on Keto. Ive always loved watching you and Dan. My love for you has grown . What an awesome testimony for you and Dan and those two sweet boys. I am 62 yrs old. Have done keto for awhile. Lost 35#. Hubby lost 75#. Off all diabetic meds,etc for us both. We went off for awhile and felt crappy! Back on starting this month. Its been a little struggle, but no ones fault but our own. Please keep making videos. They are a great pick me up and full of great info and recipes. You had me in years young lady. So proud of you. Give Dan and the boys lots of hugs. Thanks for sharing

Hi Amanda! Watching your videos always makes me feel like I am watching my friend. I found your channel through Lauren (we do love the Brazee Bunch!). Thank you for sharing your life and struggles. I started on Keto because of the anti inflammatory benefits. I developed arthritis in my mid-30's and didn't realize how much pain I was in until I cut out the sugar and most gluten. Now that I am going to be .... eeek... 42 at the end of the month, I feel better than I have in years! Keep up the great work! Much love from New Hampshire! So proud of you.

Thank you sooo much for your transparency!! I too have HS.😕 I got emotional listening to your story. You are the only other person I've come across that was willing to admit you had HS. At one point I had an flare so bad, I couldn't wear pants. I had a softball sized (yes, softball sized) eruption on the inside of my calf, that lasted a mos. I also have 5 other autoimmunes. So, keto to Carnivore is helping me live my best life. I'm so so glad to hear Keto is giving you the relief you need and the life deserve. Thank you!

You have the keto hair and face... Like me! Down 100lbs. How I began keto 1 tablespoon of ACV in shot glass in AM and PM for a good month before changing to keto also followed leptin diet rules 3 meals no snacks. It was my new years resolution by March I was doing low carb with ease as I believe the ACV helped. I gave up sugar. Fake sugar was enough in beginning. Lot of ketorade in the beginning. My story is similar to yours. Been keto/carnivore back on keto for 1.5 years.

You are amazing! I had tears in my eyes upon ‘feeling’ your real & true personality coming through! This is my second video upon finding our channel last week & I’m stoked...I’ve lost a lot of weight on keto but gained some back with stress...but I’m back & ready to shine even brighter! :) I’m the one that does not “do macros”, from Canada! It is very reassuring to hear that you do not either. I do understand d that when weight reduces, that it wouldn’t hurt to check in on a macro calculator and/or just ideal down on some food...but overall, the message of not counting and simply eating until satisfied of keto foods, is a banner message! TY & so proud of you & your family for reaching for ALL of your goals! ❤️

I made up my mind to start keto and a had a short term goal to lose 30 pounds by my Dads birthday...... did it! Then it’s been super hard to get back to it.....gained 20 back...... been back on it lost 6.5 first week:) my cravings are going away I think faster since I was on it before. Thank u for your videos! No pitchforks, I promise! But I recently learned that as little as two servings of sucrolose (Splenda, if you will) can kill off all the good bacteria in your gut, similar to wiping out an entire healthy rain forest, except in your body. Since I'm choosing "healthy" for my body, I had to make the decision that "I do not eat any foods with sucrolose." I'm just pointing that out for anyone who might be starting keto for the first time, and trying to decide what they will choose to eat. Ultimately, everyone needs to make their own informed decisions of course. Having said that, I am subscribing to your channel since you obviously are doing a great job following the ketogenic way of living and I hope to be inspired by your videos. I've lost 40 pounds on keto, and have come to a number of the same realizations that you have - in fact, some of your thoughts mirror a number of mine. Thanks for all you do and share! God bless.

Hi, I have never commented on a youtube clip before, this is my first time! I don't have much weight to lose but I do have several autoimmune problems. I just wanted to say from New Zealand that your honesty, openness and candid way you expresssed yourself touched me so much! What you have done for yourself and your two very lucky boys to have such a strong Mum like you is incredible. Thank you for being so brave. Congratulations on everything you have achieved. Sue
