A lot of them LS engines have AFM systems on them that fail and start to misfire or lifter failure witch is part of the AFM systems

Man, this hits close to home 😂 Decide which project vehicle I’m going to do a simple task on and don’t even get to it because of the usual can of worms. Most recently I just wanted to shuffle a 70 C20 to a different spot real quick. Last fall it had no brakes. This spring the front wheels are locked up solid. Always something.

Sounds like one or more injectors hung open and filled the cylinders with fuel, when you turned it over it hydrauliced the motor and broke the starter, bent the rod, just a guess from what I see there.

Same happened to a buddy. Didn’t break the starter but bent the rod and locked up the motor. The block and crank were ok and after a different rod was swapped in it’s ok now.

Yeah that thing was hydo locked. Probably Injectors hung open or something. Probably related to the melted plugs. I could tell when u tried to spin it the first time, its what broke the starter. Your going to find a bent or broken rod when you pull it apart .

This one won't be, trust me. This swap had more problems than a 350 for 350 and is much more entertaining.
