How to maintain a spincast fishing reel

@@JohnJohn-hd3qu i am still useing my zebco 33 classic made in the usa its 37 years old clean it every 5 years iv never had any issue with it in 37 years i got a rhino tough as well the same age and i can still use it the drango is junk go to a flee market and buy a made in Mercia zebco or a newer 33

I didn't buy or upgrade any parts. I'm just cleaning them in this video.

Hey after like 20 or 30 throws my spincast reel gear stopped reeling in and I checked it and the gear where it grabbed on went bald and now I can't use the reel unless i put something in the gap.

Don't you need oil somewhere? What do you do if you can't get that cone part off? Thanks for the instructions.

Anne C. A dab of grease around the moving parts should be all you need. As for a stuck cone, yeah sometimes they are difficult. I've generally just muscled them off. But if I ran across one that wouldn't come off I might try warming it up with a hair dryer. What brand/model are you having trouble with?

have you seen Bass Pro Shops new lightweight spincast reel? Just got one recently and I'm loving it.

Do you think this will work with a underspin reel? Its basically a spinning reel but with a closed face. I bought it at a flee market and i would love to use it again

This reel is single usage reel quality so low.

I've been lucky I guess. I have the Zebco 202, 404. and 808. All have worked out well for me so far.
