Im a straight haired natural as well. Don't care about a curl pattern. This is much much better, in my opinion than the wash n go's, applying globs of styling gel, and making sure the gel goes with whatever conditioner/moisturizer is in your hair. I can't do that no more, lol. I rather straighten my hair.

I'm a heat-styled natural. I blow-dry and straighten every wash day because it drastically reduces my detangling time and I just prefer my hair looking and feeling smoother and stretched out. I blow-dry on low heat (usually 130 degrees Celsius) and don't make my hair bone straight- my aim is just to stretch it out. Now I've got my revair blow-dryer, I may cut out the flatironing all together! I live for stretched out 4c / 4z hair. 😝

I really want that blow dryer!! I definitely lose less hair when my hair is stretched

I want that dryer too! I just can't get with the fact you can't use oils with it. I love using pressing oil aka grease to straighten my hair and I'm not giving it up, lol.

I have the Revair and really like it but it's rough on the arms. That being said my type 4a hair does not stay stretched with the Revair. It will start to swell. It takes more heat for that not to happen at least for me and my hair is fine.

Omg I thought I was the only one feeling guilty forever because everyone is obsessed with curls and not touching heat and have the same issue my curls are loser in front and curly in the back even without touching heat and using perfect curly hair products, It’s exhausting, shrinkage is real, and im tired of gel. love the ease and low maintenance of straight hair, thanks for the video.

I'm considering going naturally straight. I just don't have time to do my natural hair every night. I really just don't like how I look with curly hair. Plus my hair grows faster straight and breaks off faster when it's in its curly state. I keep mine in a wrap st night and can go 2-3 weeks no heat. Thanks for covering this topic. New subie.

Welcome to the fam sis ❤️ it’s the same for me, anytime I try to do curly styles my hair breaks like crazy and I experience set backs. Wearing it straight gives me no problem

I’m slowly starting to become a straight hair natural... it’s just a lot of work because it’s kind of long now just grassing bra strap length yet I exact the same amount of shrinkage and I can see myself starting to neglect my hair because I’m not feeling up to the task. It’s easier to just blow it out or straighten it. I’ll probably start doing more blown out or straight hair styles so I’m glad I found your channel

When I do decide to straighten my hair I will use your tips. I’m going to share this video with my niece. Every once in awhile for special occasions she gets it professionally straightened. Thank you for the tips! Your hair always looks beautiful!💜

I really like your braid out! I'm a recently converted straight natural. I don't worry about ruining my coil/kink pattern that's why I straighten in the first place; I don't want it kinky anymore. 360/375 degrees works just fine for me every 2-3 weeks. Type 4 hair is not curly; it's kinky/coily. Type 3 hair is curly. I'm not sure why this misnomer is becoming so prevalent in the natural hair community lately. Good tips about protein.

I love ur videos! Keep it up bc there are not many straight natural KZbinrs. I also had very unhealthy hair when it was in its curly state. I had SSK, tangles, and breakage bc it was naturally so DRY and tangled all the time. Now that I'm a straight natural, I LOVE IT! I can really see the state of my hair when its straight vs when its curly and I feel like I take better care of it.

I’m so happy I just found your page. After growing out my relaxer, I tried some natural hairstyles and they just weren’t for me. Everyone gave me sooo much crap for always straightening my hair (even though I straighten/stretch my hair on 270. Meaning it’s never bone straight unless I go to the salon). Everytime I wash my hair, I either blow dry my hair and let it sit in 2 corn braids for a nice pattern or I straighten it. I just prefer my stretched hair🤷🏾♀️ but def applying some of your tips. Bc even though my hair comes about 5 inches past my shoulders, I know I can still be treating it better
@SimplySubrena5 жыл бұрын
Yes girl, do what’s best for your lifestyle and just what you prefer. It’s just hair, to me it’s still safer than relaxers but I’m a straight hair girl. I cause more damage doing natural/curly styles. I’m over set backs at this point

Excellent advice have you thought of doing a roller set. I love doing mine and keeps the curl for a week or plus. I use the bigger orange roller. Love the details...

I'm thinking on doing this now that it's winter. Blow dry on low to cool, flat iron on the lowest heat setting, every 2 to 3 weeks. Protein and clarify once a month. Alternate between that and rollersets and twistouts. Then in the summer take a break.

Your hair looks great. The crown of my hair does the same thing & I normally only straighten my hair a couple times a year but this past weekend when I was trying to get out the house quick & it took me 40 minutes to get my hair into a simple ass style that still turned out crapy was the final straw. I'm going to get it cut shorter & wear it straight for a while.

I cut off all my hair and there are two sections that grow straight. Mind you I have not put heat on my hair while I was growing it so I had no idea what was going on. I saw my dad who is black and my brother and they both had this weird texture where it’s kinky curly and then straight near the napes and parts of the back of the hair.

How long did it take to heat train your hair?
@SimplySubrena5 жыл бұрын
Currently still in the process but I would say after about 6 months of straightening my hair every 2-3 weeks my hair is pretty trained. It still reverts a lot once washed but it’s more resilient to humidity
