to eliminate a stain that has not oxidized like the rest of the Fella sheet metal, what can I do?

I thought corten steel oxidizes, not corrode? These things are supposed to withstand the outdoors, no?

Hello, you are absolutely right! That is the beautiful characteristic of corten steel. Specifically for the cone, it is important to keep it clean and dry anyway, to prevent corrosion around the dirt that could peel off. Enjoy your outdoor cooking!

Do you need to do this after every use?

It corrode to a degree, since it leaves stain marks, it corrode :) Actually in contact in air it wont corrode, but water and change in acidity will degrade its surface and as it blackens with age more stable it becomes. Thats why this brushing is desireable, so the surface can age undisturbed. Cooking in corten accelerate oxidation degree, i dont know why people do that, when its ment to age as slow as possible, for most durable protection.

@@martharafferty8115 It is indeed best to empty the cone after each use. (not the whole process shown in this video is needed)

Kunnen we hetzelfde doen met de basis?
@OFYRGlobal3 жыл бұрын
