Great explanations. Love the English. Detailed, well spoken, accurate. I have an old coil spring Fox Vanilla R but will use the bushing technique. Thanks.

when you put the shock back together if you hold the schrader valve in to release the air the shock will meet the thread easier with less force.

If you have an XV larger air can and you keep bottoming out you can also just buy a volume spacer kit which reduces the volume and so ramps up the spring rate as it compresses. It's a lot cheaper than a new air can!

So where does the oil damping take place? Is there a more inner part of the shock that only a service center works on? Here I was under the impression that the oil film I saw on the externally visible shock shaft was actually shock oil but apparently it's only the fox lubricant fluid?

Hi there, that's a lovely video...I have a new Cube Stereo 160 with the Rockshox Monarch RT DebonAir rear shock...this shock has oil seepage and the bike shop refers to it as shock sweat and normal...personally, I am not convinced as oil is supposed to stay IN the shock and there is a fault with the shock...but hoping to get your expert opinion, please help!
