What about flushing the unit? You need to run a descaling solution or vinegar through the unit for 90 minutes.

It was my understanding if you turn the remote off first it puts the unit in by-pass and then you will not be flushing the entire coil system.

I don't like tankless...too much maintenance. Also if the power goes out, so does hot water even with gas. Florida has a lot of hard water, and tons of wasps everywhere I have no doubt they would build nests in those water heaters and short it out.

How about to inspect main components like burner assy, heat exchenger, blower wheel, ignitor, flame rod , while you run discaling solution???

Hi mate . I want to help me, was I have the water heater Old with tank water working well with gas pipe come from AGL company. When I install a new one hot water gas but without water tank Rinnai Infinity 2.6 does not work with the gas comes from AGL company I think because of poor gas pressure. When we use gas cylinder the heater water works well , but when we use the gas from the connecting pipes from AGL company do not work.

Around 1999 outdoor-capable tankless heaters began arriving. The Takagi T-K1 comes to mind, which used their stamped aluminum, accessory vent cap which enabled exterior installs. Still, tankless heaters will not tolerate the frigid climes of St Louis Missouri & such, despite any factory's built-in "freeze protection" of this or similar models.
