These turn our perfect every time. I just put mine in cold water and it works fine. I just leave them in it till Im back in the kitchen. Love doing eggs this way. Many people likely think why buy something so expensive to cook simple things like eggs. It works perfect all the time and frees you from watching a stove.

SO TRUE!! LOVE IT!! I do a 30 pack of eggs, all 30 at once, and they are ALWAYS PERFECT!! Then for the week I can make egg salad, or have a hard boiled egg or two for a snack, or top my salad, etc etc. LOVE IT SO MUCH!! 🖤

I have a 6qt Instant Pot Duo Plus, and it has an egg setting. Do I need to use that, or just select pressure cook, high, 2 min? Also, it doesn't say in the video to use chilled eggs. Mine were out at room temp. I'll probably have green rings. I wouldn't have known that if I hadn't read the article on your website. Or if it was in the video, I missed it.

Hi Carrie I tried so many different egg techniques and nothing worked I actually wasted a lot of eggs and I finally did your two minute eggs with the natural release and it was so perfect !! So I did 12 eggs the same way and Carrie I don’t know what happened but they weren’t done I’m just sick about it now I’m scared to try it again *any advice? I subscribed & now I’m going to do your potatoes for a potato salad~

I tried this and my eggs were overcooked green :(. should I reduce the time it sits until the pressure is released?

Were your eggs cold when you added them to the Instant Pot? If you don't like this method, you can try 5-5-5.

Good video...thank you. I feel this is exactly the same as the 5-5-5 in principle. It's still devoting a cook time, then a natural release time, then an ice bath time nevertheless. The 5-5-5 is actually faster than your example, so I'm a bit confused why your title suggests this is the easiest method and you called the 5-5-5 Babysitting. I feel that micromanaging in my head a 20-minute natural release only to then come back and resume dealing with the eggs causes me to address the whole egg-making task into separate blocks of time. I'm just now exploring Instant Pot boiled eggs and found the 5-2-2 method to be the best method, which allowed me to consolidate the entire process into one block of time for this task (which was 9 minutes). As a Task Manager, this is valuable. The eggs were room temperature due to me soaking them in room temperature water for a long while (I got distracted doing other things). My yolk came out 98% cooked/hard with a little tiny bit of creaminess, just how I love it. Elevation, sea level for where people reside will make a big difference, also. The peeling was another story for me....it was not as smooth as how I see virtually everyone else peeling them on KZbin, no matter what method. Great video and thanks for sharing. Instant Pot boiled eggs is a game-changer.

I should have specified that the 20 minute natural release can last up to a hour really. So in that sense you don’t have to babysit like the 5-5-5 method where you are really tied to the 5 minutes.

@@CleanEatingKitchen - Hi, thanks for responding. Holy bacon-bits, Batman....wait. A twenty-minute release is essentially the same as a one-hour release and not much would change? If I wanted that slightly creamy yolk, being that your method is already starting out with a Pressure Blast of 2 minutes, what might you suggest? Thanks so much!!
