I love the 4x method. Great demonstration. I prefer to draw my lines--as sometimes there is not enough real estate on the bottom to view the line+point. I like to use Studio 180's Wing Clipper Ruler for perfect trim down. When I'm making these, I'm generally making an obscene amount (most recently about 400 in making Sawtooth stars). I glue baste my squares (in both passes) and phase my work.

Love this video! I use the four at a time method, but always draw the lines. But with the diagonal seam tape, trying it without - thanks so much!☀️

How do you calculate the measurements for the large square n the 4 small squares to get the finished size of the flying geese? For example if you need a 3” x 6” flying geese, what size squares do you need to start with? The videos I have watched on the 4 at a time method have not addressed this. Thanks

You can google search- 4 at a time flying geese chart and you'll find chart that you can use.

Oh I wish I'd seen this class. Because I've cut rectangles and squares to make 160 flying geese.😮

This method is good coz there is no waste...have to practice more but I have to draw a line coz I am not if I am not sure if I can do it on my cheap machine. I need to upgrade my machine.
@janatherton9194 Жыл бұрын
You can use the tape with the lines on any machine, I use it on both of my machines and my older machine is an inexpensive 20 year old Sears Kenmore machine. The tape is a paper tape - similar to washi tape and doesn't leave a residue on your machine.

I was wondering if you could take the time and do a video on how to read the rules and how to use them I think I’m doing it right but don’t really know
