Must have for the 6.7.... Tuner. Cold air intake. Delete egr, and def. Str8 pipe. Upgrade turbo a must. They have problems even running stock, your turbo will fail within time. Update glowplugs a must. They are known to crack off and kill the motor. And finally a MUST MUST! Hpfp fix. If ur pump goes it's 7-11k to fix! That $250 part will prevent that when ur fuel pump goes. Which it will. They all do! #bulletproofed Lastly.... Religiously change fuel filters and oil

The top off a def bottle fits windshield washer (and some coolant bottles or other fluids) bottles. No spilling trying to add washer fluid, especially on the 11-16s where it's under the hood strut.

I have a 2006 F-250 w/6.0 Powerstroke. Bought an SCT tuner to turn off the EGR since none is installed, it was causing the Check Engine Light to come on. These tuners, any of a number of brands, can be used to adjust engine and transmission for different driving conditions, one setting increases horsepower to 450, another to 550. Not sure what the stock value is, but these things are GREAT.

If you want your engine to live a long time then the only tuner to get is the Banks Derringer. All of the other tuners on the market just dump more fuel into the engine, which makes it run much hotter than it was designed to run, and that big cloud of black smoke is telling you that it's running too rich and that your injectors probably need to be cleaned. It's also the only tuner on the market that won't leave any digital fingerprints in any of the computer modules in the truck, which is what Ford will use to void your engine/power train warranty. Any other tuner no matter how many times you flash and reload the factory tune will leave digital fingerprints proving that your truck has been modified, a 6.7L long block is around $20+ K. I don't get compensated for my views on Banks diesel products, I also only use Amsoil synthetic lubricants in my truck and my wifes truck.

What purpose does this serve? Is it for just tinkering or is it useful? I’d think the truck has plenty of power to tow anything as it comes from the factory and these tuning mods I’d assume void the warranty and reduce the life of the truck?

DEF DPF EGR deletes when done properly with the correct tune will make your truck run 100% better. Your DPF will start failing around 80k miles or so and your DEF tank heater will go out around the same time. the whole tank will need to be replaced you cant just fix the heater inside it. DEF is 80 to 90% water so you have to have the heater in the tank or it will freeze in the winter. 4k for a new DPF and 2k for a new DEF tank so your looking at 6 grand or more vs bypass everything and tune it for around 1200 to 1500. your MPG will increase along with HP and TQ best thing I could have done to my truck..

I just had my f-550 2011 deleted it is such a beast could not believe the night and day difference and I only have mine set on the toe tune for hot shoting they said if I was to turn it up it would be a axle snapper but I got to have mine for work can't be hot riding it all the time but yeah he's not lying you can even get more power out of a 6-4 powerstroke of course they have twin turbos and they're junk but you can still get more power just by a delete and tune

Yeah, You can air quote "Muffler Delete" Its still illegal, and all that black 'coal' gives away that fact. I've already had family members get pulled over, site inspected on roadside and guess what? They had to re-install all that and pass a Judge inspection (Texas). It cost him thousands. I just leave mine alone and enjoy the quiet, already over-powered from the factory ride. You might skate in a few states but not for long.

Mod #3 now that you have seriously overpowered your vehicle beyond what the stock exhaust valves and head studs can be reasonably expected to hold start saving up for the house down payment/ engine replacement fund because it will not be long before the truck starts hard because of the lightly bent pushrods and the eventual pressure relief holes in the Pistons that your head's will self install when you drop the first 1/2 inch of exhaust valve into the rotating engine. I could be completely wrong here, maybe your truck is just a weekend dust warrior and never get close enough to real dirt or real work to matter if it grenades an engine randomly on a Tuesday at 8:15 am when you are already late for work. But who knows maybe you'll get lucky and you have a working truck that makes you money and your luck will see you get a non-op sticker slapped on your truck then you will just have a $5,000 fine and have your truck towed to a dealer at your expense and the DOT require you post a multi-thousand dollar escrow account for the dealer to charge for parts and labor while they replace your emissions components. Don't worry after some time the DOT will release your vehicle from the dealer and you will be able to take it home. Hopefully when you got pulled over you had the credit and cash to rent a commercial truck so you could take your load to it's destination and not get your customers property lost stolen or impounded along with your rig. But maybe you, like me watched this video knowing that soon your luck will find you a newish Ford 6.7 at a copart auction with a great body and interior just in need of a new motor. But hey it was all worth it to chirp your tires in 4th gear on a Friday night.

The egr does not need to be removed. After tuning the computer doesn't even know it's there so it does not get engaged same thing as a block off plate it's just dead weight sitting on top of your motor taking it off does not do nothing

There is no way you jumped that much HP and torque to the wheels on that truck with just a EGR EGT and DPF delete and a tune without digging in the motor or adding injectors... you get 440 HP and 880 HP off the show room floor. This is almost a 175 HP gain .. I basically have the same exact set up on my 2011, I am at 500 HP and 1000 ft lbs of torque. Being that the 13 up F250's they had installed a tad bit bigger turbo from the factory your realistic HP and Torque numbers should be around the 550 hp and 1050 Tq with that set up.

Nicely done, some libtards on here. Have you tuned and pkayed with 6.4ltrs? Dallas at h&s has helped me in my build and havent dynod yet but from their shop build dyno numbers and matching them on mine and depending on dyno, weather, motors act different im between 598rwhp to 634rwhp and wanting a single turbo kit. Dallas has seen multiple times on the h&s shop dyno with the sxe369 kit 6.4s hit 800hp. Im thinking smeding diesel single kit and moving from h&s hot dam 300 tune to spartan 350hp tune. Im doing the AFE DFS780 boost activated hvfp plug in play. Injectors later, maybe h&s k16 twin fuelers to, not sure. I dont like the h&s tranny tunes.Your thoughts and who did the tuning program? You said "muffler delete" for legal purposes. Under D.O.T. law, it is illegal to take the muffler off of it. I got a ticket during a D.O.T. inspection. He showed me the code that said you can't alter the factory exhaust. And yes, I still had the def and egr on the truck and working. In Va., it won't pass inspection without the muffler.

Going to have to get an EZ-Link... This SCT GTX is a piece of grade AA douchebaggery. Installed on the truck (threw a bunch of DTCs which had never lit before)... handheld wouldn't pull custom tunes (another $350 down the drain) over wifi... couldn't load them with their buggy ass software updater... and when I finally got the damn thing to work (5/6 times of trying to load a tune without it coming back with an error that it couldn't save the stock calibration)... no noticeable difference. SCT support was non-exsistant for nearly a week... then came to the conclusion that the device is defective and wanted to charge me another $100 to replace it... JUNK
