S&S DCR pump should definitely be on the list. Had mine for a while now and zero issues at all. I also agree that the S&S DPK is far superior to the SPE version.

In other words- if you buy one of these Powerstrokes you either after spending 50-70K used to 110K ++ for new. You then ADD parts so it can live under normal use. You added 6K for the Diesel over Godzilla, xtra parts to ensure it lives. Or a new crate engine 2 days after the warranty ends. Lets say 32K + 4800 installation. “Oh what fun it is” or buy a late model, very late, Chevy or Ford (1999-2005) put a new big block and 6-10 speed tranny. Go though the front and rear axles, transfer case, etc. a little new paint or wrap. New interior. You spent 50K total and have a nice truck. Also a lot less headache. A guy I know of, buys a 3 y.o. F350 every year pull out most of the interior and dash. Runs up and down from Philly to Miami running anything he can put on his trailer. At the end of the year pulls all the bad stuff off. Truck looks 3-4y.o. Sells it on CL., Marketplace, etc. for what he has in it, or more. Makes his 150-180K/yr. And has no life. He fell asleep one night in the rain and drove off an embankment. At 28 he now spends his time relaxing in a chair. Sitting looking at a pool. (Picture)

I have a 2011, I purchased before the stupid covid hit. I paid 9k for a truck with 200k on the dash. The egr, dpf and cooler all failed along with the ccv filter assembly. When purchased I pulled the top end of the motor mor or less apart. Someone definitely drove through a river or lake, it looked like a mud milk shake made its way clear down the throat of the truck. I had to delete because everything took a dump. It has the original sst, but with a wicked wheel 450$'s. Then I paid another 450$ for a set of BD diesel manifolds, back stud was broken, drivers side, made one hell of a squeeling noise. I also purchased a 5 in pipe to replace the dpf for 60 bucks. Welded it, a giant resonator sounds actually good for it being kinda janky. It eats motor oil, it eats gear oil though I run power service in the winter and hotshots edt all the time. It barely smokes like almost nothing visible even flooring it, just a delete tune no added hp. I'd say if you can find a 6.7l powerstroke for cheap because you can, especially if someone let the regen system fully grenade then you've got yourself a good truck. Otherwise I would not spend the money this truck is worth now after covid and the diesel hype. Hell when this motor and tranny blow, I'll install new units. They are good trucks, you just gotta know what you're doing.

You want someone to be upset with? Be upset at the EPA for forcing these EGR cooler systems and DPF/DEF systems that destroy diesel engines. Ford/Chevy/Dodge has their hands tied and the EPA doesn't give 2 shits about it. They want to accost the American people and nobody wants to push back because the EPA has unlimited power to do whatever they please. Except when it comes to anything that actually matters, like forcing power companies to stop pumping toxic fumes into the air. And none of it even matters anyways because the biggest polluters are China and India (just behind us). And their whole economy relies on their ability to produce cheaply. The world is past the turning point of fucked and it's not because Diesel engines.

Just had my (2017 f350) entire fuel system replaced..10k$…cp4 crapped out…but still keeping it because the new ones are ridiculously expensive. So I have been adding little by little. Need this type of heavy duty truck for work, so it’s worth it to me to maintain and replace parts before they go out from now on!

Yea I got lucky and my CP4 went out right before the factory warranty expired and got the whole fuel system replaced. Injectors, lines, cp4 fuel filter. Water separator, fuel pump and the tank flushed. If that would have happened 5k miles later it would have costed me.

Regarding the turbos, it was the 2011 and 2012 that have ceramic wheels that cause the most problems, the 2013 and 2014's are better. The retrofit of the 2015 turbo is about $4000, you need the retro kit, a turbo, and a tune. Or you can go to PDR Diesel and get a stock reman turbo that has improved bearings and wheels, and it's a straight bolt up, so just the price of the $1600 reman turbo. Also your intake with the K&N style filter, the way you have it set up it's a hot air intake, you need to isolate the filter and put the inlet outside of the engine compartment.

CCV Reroute was the best non tune option I did for my 2018 F350 Dually. I am waiting for the DPF and EGR to fall off of my truck so I can repair it. My truck would randomly smoke like hell and I think it was the CCV causing the issue, my filter was nasty and full of oil. I refuse to buy a new filter for the CCV so when it fell off my truck stopped smoking.

I deleted my 2017 f250 about 3 years ago had like 80k miles on it, bought the kit from SPE Motorsports and had no issues About a year and now at 190k miles I’m starting to get a reduced engine power light along with a check engine light barely stepping in a throttle. Also installed the S&B intake, other than that everything is stock. Any ideas what might be causing the light to come on? Keeping in mind I have not done any other mods listed in the video. Thanks in advance

I'm old school 6.4 F350 Superduty 08 with 135 K miles and it's Aug 04, 2024 That's right deleted, deleted, CCV large area baffled and with course SS wool and a 1" deep collection reservoir and a 3/8" drain ball valve 1" ID tubing vented to atmosphere 4"X7" catch can. This has improved overall performance greatly. But I have a ghost coolant leak. No puddle. No sign of coolant in the oil or oil in the coolant but I can be down a cup of coolant in 30 miles. Yes replaced the de-gas bottle cap. It's got me
