I'm sad because there is not a culture like this in the United States. I built my own tank as well and there's no real place to show it off without traveling a huge distance. Excellent job! I'm amazed.

Thanks a lot, sorry to hear you miss like-minded people! I know there are a lot of Americans in the Facebook group "1/6 scale war vehicles only", perhaps that could be a good start? Plus, it turned out that within driving range from the place I live, there were more than a handful people interested in the same hobby, including one who built his own 1:1 tank. I had no idea about this until I started building and started to visit hobby exhibitions. So you never know, there might be guys out there with the same interest closer than you think. 🙂

Until I see you using a hacksaw blade to make groove for the C clips, I thought you had a small hobby sized lathe. Yes, I did read the note thanking Sten for making the gearbox drive shafts, and they are very well made. I'm a retired machinist. I have a bunch of wood working machines, a Harbor Freight Hobby Lathe, and a couple years ago, I bought a used Bridgeport that needed repairs. It's been running for a while, and it's in good condition. I converted it to single phase using a new motor with the same RPM as the original motor. The only thing I'm not into is 3D Printing. I really enjoy watching you build your RC Vehicles, you are a very talented.

As an Old Centurion Gunner/Driver Mk 10/11 , 1968-70, I'm amazed how good your detailed model is. The UK model didn't have a single slide over drivers hatch. It was a double flip over with adjustable sights. The single hatch only came with the Chieftains. The Centurion was modified for numerous countries and was a superb battle tank in its day, In the winter months when out on exercise, we always slept on the back decks as they where nice and warm with the RR Merlin engine running all day. That certainly brings back many memories. Ho, I still have a distorted finger nail when changing a road wheel dropped on my finger, ouch that hurt.

Not a modern tank fan, but you did an amazing job on that build! You should try your hand at a Sherman tank variant. I'd love to see that

@@builtbyWikander also what esc do you use for the motors? do you have a link to where you bought them? and are the motors brushed or brushless?

A great video thank you . And it may be of interest to some that the yellow aircraft in the background and the Centurion both have a connection to my home town Nottingham . The yellow Piper Cub was designed by CG Taylor who,s family came from Nottingham , and the Centurion main armament the 105 mm gun was made at the Royal Ordinance Factory Nottingham . And previously held the record for the longest tank on tank kill when in service in Isreal .

Thanks for watching! And wow, that was some story, did not know that! Thanks for sharing! 👍🙌 The Cub is an old model from the 70:s, 1/6 scale, just as the tanks. 😊 It will get a properly converted to electric some day.
