In my opinion, this is your best design ever. TIP: Use a wooden hand screw clamp on the end of the oval pieces, and place the clamp flat on the bandsaw table, when cutting off the front and back and the wood won't be drawn down harshly as you cut them. I use this technique when making Christmas ornaments from slices of tree branches. Keep up the great work!

I am one of the ones who communicated an issue with tracking on the 10-306 in December 2019. They now have a new version, the 10-3061. From what I surmised from reading various posts on the net, the 10-305 has crowned wheels and the 10-306 has flat wheels, which interfered with the tracking of the thinner blades. I hope the 10-3061 has addressed this issue. I gave up and bought another Laguna 14 Twelve (I now have two. I hate switching blades). At least I had a good excuse!

Your bandsaw boxes could certainly be an everyday use. Yes they are art and stunning pieces but I also believe they can be functional too. I would love something like this on my bedside to store the little things that don't really have a spot like my rings, keys and earbuds at the end of each day :) Thanks for the inspiration, knowledge, entertainment and laughter your videos always provide!

Good morning from Southern Cal, where it is NOT colder than a politicians heart. David - suggest that you make a little sled thingy for better control of the drawers when slicing in the bandsaw. Just a little square of thinnish plywood with two cauls fastened close enough together to support the front and back of the drawer to keep it from hysterically jumping when you cut. Don't be Stumpy.

Yet another great video. I bought your bandsaw box book as well and it really is a very good read, especially for beginners like myself. The only problem I have been having is to make a smooth cut for the actual drawers. I think it will just take a lot more practice with cheap wood before I move on to decent wood. Keep the videos coming; you are teaching me a lot!!
@sgsax3 жыл бұрын
I think this box looks pretty sweet. I've got a thing for boxes, especially those that have an out-of-the-box design. I bought the 10-305 a couple of years ago on your recommendation to replace my 10+ year old Delta which I hated. I bought it from the Big Green box store on a rebate week, so I got a great price for it. I have had no problems with it, it's a joy to use. I'm still using the original stock blade, though. I really need to try the one you suggest. Once you got the spoon out, I knew exactly where it was going. I was not disappointed. 😄 Thanks for another fun video and project!
