I bought a large white trunk to store my infant niece’s stuff in kzbin.infoUgkxNuLbiXpLQ-mKH5NlyjrNe88hiCk2N3Cg, as she comes to my house frequently. For now, it’s toys on one side and diapers, wipes, and other baby care items on the other. As she gets older, it will be all toys. I had originally wanted a trunk with a hinged lid, but I was afraid of her smashing or pinching her fingers in it. This will be a much safer option. The lid has great padding in it and it is actually nice to sit on. It feels very sturdy and secure. Looks like it can be wiped clean easily. If it gets abused by her, I won’t be terribly upset because I paid less than $50 for it on Prime Day.

That was awesome. I like the way the commentator comments while Angella does her work to teach us. I will surely recommend this video.

Impecable tutorial. So perfect that you even show that small difficulty when sewing the border pipe finish. Your disposition is amiable, your voice trustworthy, Angela works very well, the room is well lit, you manage the camera in the right angle. .. Thumbs up.

thankyou. l always thought my machine was at fault coming over bumps. now l have forgiven it! l would have sewn the cord on one side of the end first then hand sewn it closed with strong thread. l recently made bench seat covers out of coffee bean sacks for a neighbour. they looked great with the printing on them on a rustic bench. love your videos and look at them for anything new l do. especially putting clears in canvas. lhave to get the vid going each time to get the sequence right!

I love watching your how to videos! You make it look so easy! I'm a beginner, in fact, I made my first ever couch pillows after watching your tutorial (that was a year ago)! So...I'm going to tackle this project (after I purchase your materials), and if it doesn't turn out that well for me, well that's okay, because it's going to be a bed for my cats! lol Thank you so much for your excellent video shots, and well explained directions!

Nice video and finished product. However, how do you clean it when it gets dirty. You didn't put a zipper in.
@ananicolaas45584 жыл бұрын
Excellent tutorial, 2 questions though: do you always have to compress the foam, and how about wrapping a batting around the foam??
@SailriteDIY4 жыл бұрын
No, you don't have to compress the foam. You can always tell when cushion covers are made without compressing the foam, the fabric will fit loosely over the foam and often has wrinkles. Adding a polyester batting is very common for cushion making, it helps round the corners of the cushion.

I tried the “gummed tape ..... my needle stopped working as it became covered in glue. What did I do to not do to stop this happening again?
@SailriteDIY5 жыл бұрын
A couple of suggestions - 1. Try the next smaller needle. Sometimes you just need more friction between the needle and the fabric to clean the adhesive from the needle. Otherwise the adhesive fills the groove in the needle and keeps that groove from performing its function - allowing the thread to slip on one side of the needle to allow for thread loop creation. If the loop is not created then the machine will skip a stitch or stitches. I can see the adhesive buildup very clearly in your photos. 2. Push the needle into a bar of Ivory soap repetitively to coat it prior to installing it in your sewing machine. Adhesive just doesn’t stick to this soap and it sometimes works really well. 3. Make sure you are using the right basting tape. If the tape you are using has too much adhesive content it will stick great but will also potentially cause stitch skipping. 4. Final, check your machine’s timing. The needle bar could be a tad too high or the hook could be slightly delayed in rotation.

May i know What kind of fabric is best recommended? would cotton or linen do nicely?

If your foam is 2" deep why do you only add 2" to your measurements when cutting fabric to size instead of 4" (doubling for each side)?
@SailriteDIY9 жыл бұрын
crafty Since we are cutting two plates (top and bottom plate) we only need to add 2" to the overall size of the fabric to accommodate for the 2" thickness of the foam. Since both top and bottom plates have the extra 2" that will accommodate fro the thickness of the foam. The seam allowance will remove some of that, but that makes the cushion cover tighter and thus it looks better.
