Lee's shop seems like an amazing place to work. It's small, but it seems to have been very thoughtfully layed out and organized. I couldn't possibly have as much stuff as he does and keep it as tidy in a similar space!
@LeeStoffer2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words. It's evolved over time and I'm still not shy to adapt it where necessary. Also it's not always thys tidy although I do tend to work better in a tidy space! 😊🙏🏼

I was lucky to grab ahold of one of his small scorps a year ago and not only is the tool a joy to use but the blade box is just awesome! Great video as always.

Zed, I have been really enjoying watching Lee Stoffer making guards for hook knives, and his scorps and that is what I manly wanted to ask I’m in Oregon, USA and want to get all sizes. Cx you give me the info to get a hold of him?

Hi David, the best place to get in touch with Lee is eitehr through Instagram or his website, here's a link to find both - stoffercraft.com

great demo. Love the box and the care with which it was made. My only concern is the oil. Did he say boiled linseed oil or raw linseed oil? Raw does not have the chemicals in it and might be better suited for tools used to carve spoons or other things that will have food in them. Boiled linseed oil has some very nasty chemicals in it.
@LeeStoffer2 жыл бұрын
Boiled dries much quicker and I don't oil the inside of the box where the blade goes. 👍🏻
@createlovehappy2 жыл бұрын
@@LeeStoffer I do love the smell of boiled linseed oil. I used to used it on furniture and cabinets I made. Then wax to give it a bit of a sheen. I got cancer and was concerned about toxins so I’ve tried all sorts of oils. Most don’t dry very well. Tried coconut oil but it doesn’t dry at all and gets sticky. Well done on those boxes.
@Zedoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Like Lee has already mentioned he used Boiled linseed oil which cures very quickly and is fine so long as the item doesn't come into contact with food ~Peace~
