If you have a walking foot, it will help so much with the bulk. It feeds from the top and bottom. They are relatively cheap if your machine didn’t already come with one. Great tutorial. Easy to understand without a lot of unnecessary chatter. Ever heard of a plate cozy? Somebody mentioned one the other day. Would be great if you could do a video on those. Thanks!💙🧵🪡

Yes! Good idea about the walking foot! And thanks for the idea of the plate cozies! I’ll have to try that out 😃💛

Plate costs are simple. Start with a 12x12 square and make 1/2 inch wide by 1 inch long darts on all 4 sides, like you were making a bowl cozy. Play with your measurements before you attach batting to see what you like. I never cut my darts out, I just saw them and trim afterwards.

The way you do your bowls looks so much easier than the way I have done it.

Very nice! I was using a basic bowl cozy for my pints. Now, I''ll have to try and make one of these. Have you used the Creative Grids Template for the small bowl cozy.? I would like to see someone do a video on that template. I am very confused by the directions that came with the template. Thanks again!!
@AngieKT3273 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried the creative grids template yet. That’s such a bummer that the directions are confusing!

You seemed to talk about a template that you traced where do I find the template to trace I'm on a very low budget and that's why I'm looking for something I can trace instead of buying another template😊
@AngieKT327 Жыл бұрын
The template I’m using is just the pattern piece that comes with the pattern, traced onto a piece of plastic to make it more sturdy.

Here’s the link for the pattern (currently on sale!) With the pattern you get printable pattern piece to trace onto the fabric. If this link doesn’t work, it’s also in the description box of this video. www.etsy.com/PellieBrandDesigns/listing/1014255553/bowl-cozy-pattern-digital-download
There’s a link in the video description to get the pattern. For the plastic template I use a thin plastic cutting board from the dollar store. I trace the pattern out on that, which is easier to trace the pattern onto the fabric compared to paper pattern pieces.

What are material measurements
@AngieKT3273 жыл бұрын
You just need 2 pieces of cotton fabric and 2 pieces of cotton batting, each cut to 10” x 10” and then from there you can use the pattern piece to cut it to the size and shape needed for the cozy
