Some times you need to place a piece when it can not be bolted to something next to it. Therefore it is considered to be placed in space. In this case you need to reference it's location off of the known location of a nearby object. In this video I will show you how to place an object in space referenced from the location of the original switch box.

Why wouldn't you just remove the original box and fabricate a bracket from the frame? Or did I miss something in the build? Nice job on the bracket.

Hi Tim. Good question. The original box was welded on when it was built. It was then chrome plated, back in the 70's. I would have to do some grinding to remove the weld after the box was removed (allowing for rust to begin). Also if I can't figure out the wiring, I may use the drum switch purely for reversing the two wires, and use the original switch for off and on. I hope this answers your questions. Jere

Cleaning the shop and then wiring. Gee. How much fun can one guy have? ;) Binky is a long term (10 year) project Mini that has been rebuilt with a LOT of brackets needed to stuff the totally different drivetrain into it (4wd, turbo, etc). The two guys at "Bad Obsession Motorsport" channel are the builders. Have a good one

to reverse a single phase motor (three phase is a lot easier since you just need to swap any of the three legs) you will need to reverse the starter windings. you should take a picture of the pecker head wiring diagram for that motor and upload it here to get advice because it varies.
