kevin bailey because the vacuum helps tremendously in getting the epoxy to spread into the fiber evenly and helps the fiber conform to the mold ! also leaves a smooth finish rather trying to brush it on and sand it down etc over and over again. some parts just can’t be done without a vac bag !

I will briefly tell you the ingredients you need. * Making Mold * Yellow wax Epoxy gel coat (or polyester gel coat) Epoxy resin (or polyester resin) Fiberglass cloth * Making Parts * Carbon fiber cloth Epoxy clear gel coat (can be replaced with epoxy resin) Epoxy resin Perforated release film Vacuum bag and vacuum pump It is a basic material.

올려주신 동영상 항상 재미있게 보고 있습니다. 질문 하나 드려도 될까요? 매번 파츠위에 카본을 래핑하는 작업만 하다 이번엔 풀카본을 만들어 보려 합니다. 몰드는 있는데.. 위 동영상 처럼 몰드에 릴리즈왁스 바르고 탑코트에폭시 올린뒤 카본을 씌우면 모양이 잡히지 않습니다. 겔코트 작업할때는 2시간 정도 지촉경화 후 작업하면 잘 잡히는데요.. 에폭시도 일정 시간 경화후 카본을 올려야 하는지요? 아니면 최초 올릴때는 탑코트 에폭시 같은 제품이 아닌 클리어 겔코트 같은 별도 제품을 써야 하는지요?

Erstmal Daumen hoch zu deiner Arbeit... Echt gut. Was mach mal interessieren würde wie man einen stabilen und leichten Splitter bzw. Unterfahrschutz als Sandwich baut. Im bestenfalls dann um die 10 mm stark. Gerade für uns im Bereich Rennwagen interessant.

ATTENTION ( If you aren't wont be a new patient in hospital) 1-While you cutting carbon fiber cloth and fiber glass you must use mask for be protect from particles of carbon 2- Measure your parts and cut just right. 3-Before cut the carbon paste double sided tape on your cut line and cut the tape by dividing it in half. 4-Use PVA foil for in place of the blue film.( PVA foil is have two side ; bright and mat. You can use it however you want.) 5-Certainly, you must use a ventilation while working with carbon fiber.

Hello, Buddy! It can't use the original as a mold. Using the original as a mold may damage the original. If It use the original as a mold, the faces are reversed. And It can't make it the same size as the original. If it use the original as a mold, the product becomes a little small. Finally I wanted to show you how to make a simple mold. I hope helpful.

What an awesome chanel, Im dying for new videos, when i first saw it I smashed the subscribe button 😁 some of our friends are waiting you do to a video of small details getting carbon wrapped. We have s lot of problems to lay carbon on fiat 500 abarth buttons on steering wheel because it has 2-3 millimeter of plastic and cant get the hole cut properly on the middle. Any suggestions?

@@BisforBoost Yes, That's exactly right. When it is vacuumed, unnecessary resin is absorbed by the bleeder breather. And the carbon fiber cloth is pressed into the mold.

Hello, Buddy! It could reuse the vacuum bag the way I use it. However, the number of times is not high. I think it is probably 1-2 times. I use a new vacuum bag whenever possible. It is good for maintaining vacuum.

SEHR geiler Kanal! Ich überlege schon länger, die Motorabdeckung vom N52 325i zu individualisieren. Dachte an lack. Aber das Kohlefaser wäre natürlich ne weitere Ebene! Glasfasermatten und zeug müsste ich noch von ner stoßstangenreparatur haben... Wo bekommt man die Kohlefaserlappen her? Und welche Harze/Hersteller bevorzugst du? Ansonsten: weiter so! Hi, I have tried lots of times but its keep on failing. I am using a red tooling gel coat, then when its sticky, i apply fiber glass sheet with epoxy resin. It keeps sticking to the product, i use plenty of wax... Do i need the polyester gel coat, the tooling one is very strong smell

Hello, Buddy! You don't need to use a polyester gel coat. Epoxy gel coats have a very long curing time. If the ambient temperature is increased by using a heater, curing time is shortened.
