Just checking this video out again, after I made two of these 4+years ago. A friend of a friend saw my daughter's last weekend, while visiting out fabric TT and runners. So, my daughter thought it a grand idea to make a few more for our fall festival. So away we go... I have a beautiful Wilmington strip set to use. Thanks Jen and company

Tip for the prairie pointer (which I use a lot!!) tie a little piece of ribbon through the hole so when it gets really HOT you can use the ribbon to move it out of the way between items!

another useful tip with the basting glue after applying the glue and laying your appliqué piece where you want it hit it with the iron it will instantly set the glue and there's no waiting it is a temporary glue and it will wash out even though you've had it with the iron it also works with Elmer's temporary glue and if you're not worried about it coming out regular Elmer's Glue works the same way

I can't believe how much Shabby Fabric I am watching on facebook thru our tv. My husband will walk by and say - surprise - it's Jennifer!! Anyway, I am so wanting this Monokote Heat Sealing Tool. It's not on your web page and I can't seem to find it on the internet. I generally buy from you first, but I'm really wanting this!! Where should I look!

Did you sew the buttons on before it was sandwiched and quilted? If so, didn't the buttons get in the way when quilting?

We sew the buttons on after quilting :) Usually all embellishments are added after quilting! Thanks for watching!

It looks like you may be able to use a 5x5" charm pack to make two pieces or a 10x10" to make 4. Does this sound right?

You are correct about the charm pack square! Just cut it into two 2.5 inch wide strips and continue as stated in the video. For a 10"x10" layer cake you will be able to get eight! You will cut the 10"x10" square into four 5"x5" squares and then cut those into 2.5" strips! Let me know if that helps clear that up!

Hi there! I just found you recently and I'm enjoying your videos! You inspired me to make my first dresden and oh what fun it is! I have a question about the MonoPoly and Bottom Line threads that you recommend, I have used the MonoPoly and love it because I like the invisible look, but I haven't used it together with the Bottom Line thread. My machine does not like the MonoPoly, I use it with Auriful thread in the bobbin and it skips stitches and jams like crazy! Do you think it would help these issues if I use the Bottom Line thread in my bobbin? Thanks so much...Dora

Those are quilted just like the quilts. If it is small enough, you could possibly use a walking foot on your machine. ~Leah🙃
