Hey Ryan, great video, these always help me out. I am relatively new to go karting and I seem to struggle a lot with my mindset going into the race. I always get nervous and a little scared, do you have any tips for that?

Hey Max, I’m a “relatively” newer driver too. I’ve got three years of experience and just last year learned a large majority of what I know. Honestly, you always get a little nervous before a race no matter how experienced you are, and at your level of experience, it’s super normal. My best advice is to not overthink it, when you’re on grid waiting in your kart, it helps me to close my eyes and just breath, and think about my goals and what I want to do in that session. I've been racing for about 4 years now. Here's my tip that I use before a race. I close my eyes and just think of many posibiilies of huw the race could go. Just do that many times over. Just focus on your breathing, that usually helps a bit. It's normal to be nervous before a race. I think all drivers do that.
